Misleading

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - The sign advertised two hours for five dollars.
  • - Payment was only via an app that charged $7.01.
  • - The price did not match the advertised rate.

A parking lot in front of Sacred Heart Hospital had a sign saying two hours of parking for five dollars. The only way to pay for parking was with the app, which required $7.01.

There is no way to pay any other way. The prices need to match what is advertised.

Preferred solution: Fix the app to match the sign

User's recommendation: Avoid this lot

Diamond Parking - Tarnished the beginning of our family vacation

Within 5 minutes of arriving at our condo rental at The Lodge at Mountain Village, Park City, Utah, which cost us over $5,000 for four nights, enforcer/checker #16972 issued a citation without any grace period that would allow us to retrieve the parking pass from inside the rented condo four floors up.

Diamond parking services is inappropriate and out of line causing me to spend my first hour of vacation dealing with their nonsense both by speaking with their telepone service representative Sonny who could not immediately resolve my dispute then forcing me to generate an email.

I asked them to call me and apologize for the stain they placed on my well deserved vacation.

No surprise, they have not.

Very annoyed

User's recommendation: Avoid

Shady signage and then astronomical parking fees

Diamond Parking - Shady signage and then astronomical parking fees

In Olympia, WA at US Bank, the Diamond Parking sign says in big letter that the parking is just for bank patrons, except for Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays. Then, in very small print you can't see, it says that you must pay first.

I was from out of town and just parked there briefly to go into a store around the corner. I was gone 15 minutes and had a ticket on my car for $36.50. With a threat to increase it to $66.50 unless it was paid in 15 days. I had to search around to see where their payment box even was.

Then on their website it has a drop-down list for disputes, and of course there are only options to choose that don't fit this situation. It was very shady business practices to lure people in and then charge them a high fee. I'm disappointed in Diamond Parking and US Bank.

I won't use either ever again. If I could rate them a zero I would.

Loss:

Cons:
  • Sneaky signage and high fees

Preferred solution: Price reduction

User's recommendation: Do not park at Diamond Parking at US Bank in Olympia, WA

I had a ticket before I could get their app to work and they don't respond to email disputes. And then charge an extra dollar for handling when you pay online.

Loss:
$43
Cons:
  • Difficult app
  • Sneaky signage and high fees

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution

User's recommendation: Take an uber, or walk.
