Verified Reviewer |Harassment and Inappropriate conduct to Players Club ticket holders by bridge entry-level security guards
To whom this may concern,
On Saturday, April 5, 2025, at approximately 5:45 PM, we attempted to make entry across the bridge because we had purchased four players club tickets to enjoy the game. One of my guests, she is fully draped in diamonds, clothing with gems, and shoes.
She wears shoes that are called Philipp Plein, that are completely covered in Swarovski crystals and diamonds; she was already going to set off the security line, which is not a problem. She knows that she will be asked to be wanded down or if she minds if they touch her or pat her down. It happened this game. She was asked if it was okay to pat her down.
She declined and said she was more than willing to be wanded down. This has happened before, and usually, security has no problem with simply using the wand. But on this day, there was a woman with long braids, who told her no matter what, if she went off, she would have to pat her in areas where the wand would signal. These areas were inappropriate areas, and she was not comfortable being touched.
This became an entire situation with the security announcing that she must get the supervisor. The older woman supervisor that came was very rude, disrespectful, demeaning, and aggravated. She had to wand my guest and not humiliate her by putting her hands all over her body. My guest put her arms up; the security supervisor said they weren't high enough, and they had to be straight out.
My guest was wearing a bodysuit that was sheer around the upper arm area. You could see she had nothing on her. Yet the older security supervisor with red/pink hair insisted her arms needed to be higher. My guest declined to raise her arms higher.
They were high enough where she could be wanded properly. Now the line was backed up. My guest was further being humiliated with onlookers trying to figure out what's going on. Then my guest simply went over to one side; the supervisor yelled at her, 'You can't move; you have to be completely still.' She then, after wanding my guest, let us through, but not before leaving while yelling down to her as the supervisor was exiting the area off the bridge, 'We have to do our jobs; we have to do our jobs.' My guest then told her, 'Your job is not to yell at me through a crowd and speak to me any further.'
My guest is known and well-loved at your arena in the Players Club.
From Mr. Rick Mahon to Mr. George Blaha to Mr. Greg Kelsey.
Upon entry to the lower level, she spoke with an individual who had management come speak to her. Two young ladies came over and talked to my guest. She explained her case to them. They were quite understanding and knew exactly what the issue was and agreed.
They said, 'Of course, you're gonna go off; we can see you blinking all over the place.' There was no need for this harassment or for you to be treated this way, especially as a Players Club visitor.
My guest and I were told that they were gonna send over the head of security. Forgive me for being so blunt. The man came over to us looking totally unprofessional and smelling of cigarettes, wearing a flannel, with a beard down to the middle of his chest, and resistant to understanding that my guest should not have to subdue to such horrible treatment. He further insulted her by saying that this must happen in case she is toting a weapon!
Are you serious? Now her character is being insulted because I strongly feel, as a white man, it is because of her nationality. She is Jamaican/W. African.
This type of behavior and profiling is unacceptable when we are spending anywhere from $4,000 to $5,000 for tickets.
The Players Club is supposed to be for a VIP experience with a certain type of clientele that comes to be treated as VIPs who are financially in a position to enjoy and indulge in the finer things of life, without the harassment of security teams that are insubordinate, and quite frankly, power tripping.
My guest is an author, a writer, a director, a philanthropist, a music writer, an executive producer, and that's just to name a few of her accolades. She is so popular that every game I bring her to, your Jumbotron always has her on it. They caught her that game as well. She is the young lady the camera blurred in on, wearing a black top, four necklaces, bracelets on each arm, and diamond rings on every finger.
She does not look to be a danger or even dressed for misbehaving.
We were sitting in section 123, seats 1 and 2, row 1. Then we had individuals in section 122, seats 14 and 13, row 2.
Now when we came to the Golden State Warriors game, there were older staff there who were very polite. She went off then, and they simply wanded her and let her go. There was no issue.
There was no arguing. There was no demeaning her. There was no yelling at her and demanding that she be frisked like a common criminal. This type of treatment has to stop.
This is the reason why we have stopped coming to the games and spending money with the Detroit Pistons because we don't want to possibly run into a security team that, upon entry, may be having a bad day or target her to be rude to. Entry is the beginning of the VIP experience, which could possibly be subject to ruin if the harassment should happen via an overzealous security guard.
She is poised. She is elegant. She has never been a problem.
She does not deserve to be treated in such a manner by these women, men, or staff who seem to be targeting her because she is so elegant and well-off.
I look forward to hearing back from whomever I am supposed to have contacted to handle this situation as soon as possible. She is owed an apology and reassurance that when she comes to these games, she will not be treated like a street criminal.
Thank you for your time.
Preferred solution: To speak with someone in charge to deal with the individuals that fueled this issue. The ones who were disrespectful and insulting to us.
User's recommendation: Be ready to be tried like a criminal even if you have spent over $4000 on tickets. By Little Caesar unlicensed security subordinates.
Complain about the kids games before the pistons game the 26th of December
I was very upset to find out in order to watch the kids games before the pistons game you had to buy a pistons ticket. I am a grandfather to two of the kids from inland lakes.
I was going to come and watch my grandchildren play and bring three cousins to watch the games but couldnt afford 28 dollars for myself and the others. It would have been nice if you were a little more accommodating
Preferred solution: Just be more considerate of others

I want to start off by saying Ive been a life long supporter of the Pistons for many years Ive been attending LCA since day I want to start off by saying Ive been supporter of the Pistons for many years, and Ive been attending LCA since day one. My experience today was the worst experience.
Ive had any event in my life and Ive been going to an Events for over 30 years. I didnt mind spending $700 to watch a mediocre team play. Within the first 10 minutes of my arrival I had an interaction with an event team member whose name was Glen working in section 111. Ill start off by saying I drove an hour to get to the arena and then this economy spending $700 I do expect my experience to be second to none.
This employee you have needs to be trained on how to talk to people with respect. Obviously, this position is going to his head. I simply walk down the aisle. It was attempting to take a photo and within 10 seconds I was told that I had to return to my seat, and I could not take a photo.
Mind you again Ive been to many sporting events, and Ive done this many times without any issues like I was blocking the way I was there for minutes it was literally seconds. Im spending this kind of money. I expect her to be a little common courtesy from the employee his attitude and was extremely harsh. For whatever reason, maybe he just feels intimidating seeing somebody in a business suit attend a basketball game and he felt like he needed to play his authority card.
From the second we walked in and got seated. He pretty much approached me and my wife, and was demanding to see our tickets which I happily provided to him. I was just wondering why I was the only person he asked in the entire section with her people coming in before, and after us and when I made my way down to take the photo for whatever reason, he personally verbally attacked me . This needs to be brought to your attention because youve just lost a supporter.
Ive spent tens of thousands of dollars in that arena. Let me know that I will not spend another penny in that arena and Ill make sure to go to social media and where all my family and friends know the experience that I had. one. My experience today was the worst experience Ive had at any event in my life.

Verified Reviewer |Disgusted with visit
I purchased 12 tickets for yesterdays game and brought my group home residents and staff. My first issue is the fact that little Caesars Arena makes so much money but yet doesnt have senior citizen or handicap parking near the building.
My second issue is the fact that you dont have one specific area for handicap or mentally ill in that huge building. Third issue is the way we were treated up on arrival, entering and once we arrived to our seats.
This visit wasnt not a good experience for my staff or consumers. I would really like to speak with the owner.
User's recommendation: Don’t bring group home individuals, til the workers are trained on how to treat them

How was your loss $4k? Did you elect not to attend the game?
Why isn't this super important woman not making her own complaint? Why is she unnamed and only referenced to by how much bling she has? Are you her minder? Her handler?
If she's so important, why didn't she ask for one her many adoring fans and connections to intervene on her behalf?
Why are you putting down another person's appearance, just because they don't drape themselves in crushed velvet and gems? Does this super important person know that you have written this complaint on their behalf, on this public consumer site and are claiming a loss of $4k when it appears the tickets were used?!
OP and the woman are perfect examples of money paying for entry but it definitely doesn’t buy class.
