As Disabled Army Veterans, my husband and I have endured a long journey with Destiny Builders LLC, located in Montgomery, Alabama, while trying to get our dream home built. It began when the builder failed to meet his contract obligations by almost four months, resulting in our home not being completed in a reasonable manner. The builders duty of care has been nonexistent this whole process causing our health, safety, and well-being to be compromised. There have been times throughout the process that the builders subcontractors have removed personal items from our home, such as paint supplies, phone charger, and tools. In addition to this, he has made our home an open house to different unskilled people resulting in our personal property to be damaged and or broken, such as dresser, sofa, chairs, etc. In fact, there are deficiencies that still exist to this day going on one-year next week. This includes but is not limited to the unleveled master bedroom shower not draining properly causing mold and mildew, the side of the front yard not graded properly resulting in standing water and insects breeding, and bricks not plumbed and pointed around the house. These defects caused by failure to complete the work in a professional standard based on design specifications resulted in damage and financial loss. In knowing this, the builder refuses to take accountability for his and his subcontractors actions.
