Saved my life
I hated my parents for sending me there and now I am grateful

Sexual abuse occurred under their noses
I was sent to Canon when I was 13 in March of 2014. I stayed there for 3 months and while I was there, me and 2 other girls were being constantly molested by a male client. Once I finally got the courage to tell my therapist, they didn’t believe me because it was bad for the company. When police arrived, instead of telling them what I had said (which they’re legally mandated to do), they just told the police I had behavioral issues. The therapists and owners only care about the money. 90% of the counselors have authoritarian issues. Don’t send your child here, this place makes me extremely nervous. A lot of clients that went there left with more problems than they entered with. Even though the workers claim the children are constantly being monitored, things like sexual abuse happened with 5+ people in the room. The staff would always brush off the kids if a client had trouble with another one. I was constantly being harassed by a female client and the staff still insisted that she still stay my roommate. Reconsider where you want your child to be please..
- Some counselors
- Safety concerns
- Lack of professionalism

Wow! What prejudice! First of all, they do not detox kids in this house- detox is done in the hospital. Secondly, the kids in Canon are not addicts- there is another house for kids with addiction problems. Most of the kids suffer from depression and anxiety. they are respectful and not dangerous. Occasionally, there may be a teen with anger issues, but you can have a neighbor with their own teens with problems- are you going to kick that neighbor out? These kids deserve help and compassion. Not your vile prejudice. These kids need a place to go. You are probably a much worse neighbor than they are.
