I followed PissedConsumer recommendations to call customer service. After a couple of minutes after I was trying to explain my problem, the lady who answered the phone said “wonderful”. When I told her nothing of what was happening was wonderful, she told me the line had cut off for a moment (still not sure about the wonderful comment) and less than a minute later, the call was disconnected.Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service!

I recently enquired about a mirror (Adnet Mirror) through my interior designer. After getting a quote from Mr. Daniel Lawlor, I proceeded to call him (XXX-XXX-3696) to make the purchase. Not to my surprised (since I had a similar experience in my last purchase of stools about a year ago), my calls and voicemails went unanswered. After multiple attempts to reach someone at DWR that could help me, I was able to contact the virtual studio. The person who answered recommended I speak with the manager at the store. After being transferred a number of times, I finally reached someone. To my surprise, it was Mr. Lawlor and he explained he was the manager. When I explained multiple calls/voicemails to him had gone unanswered. His response was defensive, never apologized for the inconvenience, and had less than professional responses (i.e., "I can let my supervisor know you want to speak with her, but she is traveling right now and I don't know when she will have time to call you back"). After further inquiries, he finally stated her supervisor would call me within the next 24 hours. I am still awaiting her call. I also received an email from Mr. Lawlor that reflects his lack of professionalism. I would be more than happy to forward the e-mail I received to you, if requested. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I have problems with customer service at DWR. As someone who works with customers, I feel feedback is always valuable.

Era Chairs Review

Purchased 6 Era chairs - travel for a living and arranged on certain date - they divered on a different date - left my chairs on the curb - luckily theaintence man saw chairs and called me and put them in my unit. When I called DWR they said the situation was my problem not theirs -worst customer service on earth - will purchase nothing else from DWR.

Design Within Reach wont warranty it's product

The Twisted Coat Rack I purchased broke. There's a plastic part that holds it together, and it snapped. They have since changed the design of this part. When I asked DWR for a replacement part, they said the product wasn't under warranty and that I would have to pay $25. I paid for the part, and then a second piece broke. And now the $500 rack is useless without the missing parts. Repeated emails to customer support in past weeks have gone unanswered. I believe they should warranty the product... They know the part is defective, that's why they changed the design.

- Beemod - inexpensive, modern furniture reproduction - online ordering only Pretty much the worst customer service ever. It's been over a month and a half and I haven't received my order. Plus, no one ever answers the phones and you're lucky if you get an email response in 3 days. This is such a huge shame because there's a real need for this kind of design for people who can't afford DWR. I'd love to see someone do this right. I think this is a one-person operation. Steer clear unless you're willing to wait indefinately.
