Deposit Paid; No Sofa

We ordered a sofa from the Arlington store and paid a $600 deposit. The store has since disappeared; its website has been taken down; and no one answers the phone.

Messages to other stores go unanswered. It appears, like others, I've been had.

I've filed a complaint with the VA Atty General, disputed the credit card charge, and am trying to file a complaint with VA Better Business Bureau.

Emna Alzate was the sales person who made the sale. We received an unsigned letter from Jeff Goldstein saying the story was relocating to the District of Coumbia but listed the Virginia store's number for further information about the order.

6 months and still no couches

My wife and I ordered 2 sofas and a couch through Desi on December 2nd, 2012 at their Arlington location. It is May 14th, 2013 and we still don't have them.

We were supposed to have them by March 2013, but like all the other reviews say...Desi lies to you. We put in a large deposit, and so far have nothing to show for it. They relocate their stores without forwarding information...they don't pickup the phone...and they don't return your messages. I'm seriously afraid that they're going to cut and run with everyone's money.

Be sure to read the Yelp reviews at the very bottom of the page. Desi and has received so many negative reviews that they're actually being filtered.

Desi Living Innovations should be out of BUSINESS!!!!

I ordered a sectional on the 11th of November 2012, it is May 06 2013 and I still have not received it. I still don't have an ETA and the owner Jeff Goldstein refuses to refund my deposit.

At the 1st look, there is no indication that the owner of this store is running some shady operation. They have their store fronts in nice shopping areas and are counting on trusting consumers to not take a closer look. I ordered my furniture from the Rockville store and would not be surprised if Mongomery County booted them out. They have since relocated to their Annapolis store and are continuing with their shady ways.

They promise to deliver furniture no later than 30 days but after 6 months you'll still be waiting. At first I thought my order had just slipped through the cracks but after I began to investigate....WOW! There are complaints with The State Attorneys's Office of Maryland, countless complaints and blogs on line(you should check out Yelp and don't forget to scroll to the bottom and click on filter), the worst rating from the BBB. I read that this store has leased 3,000 sq ft in the DC Foundry lofts and will be relocating there.

BEWARE!!!!! Don't order anything from this store for fear that they will bolt from MD and escape with your money to DC.
