Always problems with these people flood in the house and no hot water for 8 days now but they make sure they get rent on time. DO NOT rent from this company they’re horrible liars who are money hungry.
Just today they told the owners of the house that we rent though that we’re bad tendants don’t pay rent or late fees or call when theirs issues. We have receipts and this is becoming a large issue where I believe that race is the reason for the lies and poor treatment.
I’m glad they treat their service members so poorly being as they pretend to thank their veterans every Veterans Day to give us false hoa accusations, somethings always wrong and they never respond when you try to fix the issue. Maybe a law suit will fix the issue.
My experience with Desert Wide Properties
I have been with Desert Wide Properties for almost 6 years it would be 6 years this June my experience is a great one. the staff and the landlord or owner have been very very gracious to me in all my requests..
times are changing the economy is changing and things are getting so much more expensive I hope that I will be able to continue to rent from this company and its owner. People treat you the way you treat them and I thank God that I treat people right and I get treated right in return thanks Desert wide.
Rip off Artist!!!!
Rented from them for a year ... they failed to tell me that the owner planned on moving back after the end of the lease so they sent a notice 2 months prior to end of lease that wld need to vacate....
1 month later after I found a new place they contacted me asking why I was moving and that they wanted to renew the lease ... then when I moved out took them over a month to issue my deposit when Arizona law says they have 14 days to issue deposit ... on top of that they deducted from my deposit $88 for light bulbs ... that is not considered property damage ...
I contacted them several times and they refused to respond...emailed called and all but showed up on their office and made a scene and they still didn't respond to the absurd amount because light bulbs wouldn't cost that even if they were purchased odd the shelf for two houses worth ...
don't rent from them ... rip off artist !!!!'
Desert Wide Property is HORRIBLE
I did not rent from them... I applied, was approved, and when I asked them to fix a very tricky lock on an exterior door and exposed wiring in the kitchen light fixture they said they would probably not do it.
Then I read the contract. On my first visit to the property I found rat droppings everywhere in the apartment so they did pest control. Agent told me they paid for a complete cleaning. However, an addendum to the contract specified that the property had NOT been cleaned, and must be accepted in AS IS condition (with non-functioning exterior lock, exposed wiring, and rodent residue!?).
Furthermore I would be held accountable for thorough cleaning regardless of condition in which I found it. This made me wonder, who are these people? So I searched the interwebs and found they had the worst possible rankings from BBB, Google, Yelp, etc. I thought, "maybe it's just the haters." So, I asked them about it, at the same time I asked about the addendum.
So, instead of addressing the bad reviews and providing proof of cleaning they said they declined to rent to ME! I have a credit score high 700s, money in the bank, and a good job. Hm, maybe it was because I asked too many questions they couldn't answer?
Do yourself a favor and navigate away from Desert Wide Properties. They should not be in business treating people this way.

Do they exist? Or maybe they took a vow of silence
Horrible !!!
HORRIBLE company and horrible service. Do yourself a HUGE favor and avoid renting any kind of property from those clowns. They do NOT care, they do NOT reply, they do NOT repair what needs to be repair and if they do- it takes 2 months. they just want you to pay rent and shut up. The way they treat tenants is outrages. I cant describe how bad was my experience with them! They made my renting period at that house the worse period of my life. I'm so glad i do not rent from them any more and i advise no one to rent through them.
All the bad reviews here about this company are 100% true. those people are clowns and they have no clue what they are doing.
Horrible company !! Please stay away from their properties!

Desert Wide Properties House Rental Review from Phoenix, Oregon
Let's see...where do I start?
When I moved in I did my inspection and turned it in as I was supposed to. There was a water stain on the roof of one bedroom and in a closet in the living room.
Months later I called because they were getting worse. I had to wait until the owner ok'd it. It took another month. Then another month went by before they sent someone out! They tried to blame me for not mentioning the old "damage" when I moved in. I told them to refer to my inspection I submitted when I moved in. That was finally found weeks later after I offered them my copy ;)
After many complaints, no one ever fixed the damage. Many rains later, it got worse. I gave up. Basically, I lived in a mild ridden house.
I called two months before I moved out telling them I had to move out a month before my year lease was up and left a message with the front office because I had lost my job and could not afford to live there any longer. Left another message a week later on an after hours machine.
No calls back.
A few months after I moved out I moved to another state and decided to follow up. I left 3 VERY detailed messages on a voicemail asking someone to call me back so that I know I have no monies owed.
NO CALL BACK.
Today, I went to check my credit report and see that I owe them over $5000!
I have every e-mail I sent complaining about the damage and mold along with the original inspection I turned in. This is also going to be submitted to BBB.

The worst office in AZ they are *** people I dont recomend anyone to deal with them . They are a big liers in there website they mention that they have 3 offices but it's only one office and there are only 2 *** people working over there don't wast your time or your money with them ..
Very baaaaaad un inexperience worker in addition they charge extra fees for nothing and they dont convince you why they charge and also they have a very bad matnance service ... Bad bad bad website and office
ABSOLUTELY CROOKED BUSINESS
They ask you to complete a move in inspection form but when you move out (after 5 YEARS) they don't consider ANY of the notes you made regarding the condition of the property. I had to have the carpet replaced AFTER my move in date due to the condition!
I cannot believe homeowners entrust their asset to these crooked people!
I would highly recommend you find another reputable company to use to manage your rental otherwise you will lose money. Also I would advise a renter to INSIST on doing a move in walk through with a member of staff.

This company does not care about the people or families
That rent from them! They have really bad attitudes,I'm am
Very sorry I rented a house from them!! It's a real shame that they
think and feel its ok to run a business this way. Management should consider giving their staff people skills and ethics training. Anybody looking to do business with this company should be aware of their schemes. Staff are also never reachable never willing to go the extra mile to satisfy their customer or buyer. Desert wide properties should have the state review the hundreds of complaints perspective home buyers or renters that are getting taken for by their false appreciation of their customefr service. And don't forget they will charge you for everything
Overhaul needed
I am not sure if Prayer power would help desert wide properties but anything is worth a try.... Some of the people over there sound like voice-over actors/actresses when they answer the phone,, and unfortunately not very helpful.
,what can victims of desert wide properties do if prayer does not help the situation?,,maybe a victim can try to organize which issues fall under what categories,,, and find out what agencies or departments cover those categories,,,. For instance the person listed over there for their "designated broker",, doesn't that person need to be accountable for some of the situations?
How do people check with the AZ Department of Realty?, besides the BBB - ,. Does the Attorney General Office help with any of this?
Desert Wide Properties
Stay away from Desert Wide Properties. I am not sure that any other company in any business sector has as many deranged employees that work at/ and run the daily operations. The owners and management are just as deranged as the employees.
I can't imagine what their hiring practices must consist of because a climate like this can't possibly fall into place by itself, it would need to be created. After being subjected to Desert Wide Properties and looking at reviews, I can tell you if you EVER see any good review about them, it was printed by one of their employees or someone connected to them.
Desert Wide Properties value deranged employee behavior and unethical business practices to a point that its their company "culture", they pride themsevles on it.

DESERT WIDE PROPERTIES FATAL MISTAKE
I think the employees of Desert Wide Properties must be overworked and underpaid. Their attitudes show it. You can bet that this trickles right on to the manager and the owners of the company (most likely stingy).
Every time I tried to speak to a property manager, I had been transferred to a new one. You know what that means "huge turn over" because the employees are not treated right. Employees do not leave a company when they are well compensated and treated fairly.
I don't blame the employees, I blame management. Very bad management. Hence, if you cannot manage your employees, you cannot manage properties.
BIG LOOSER!
By the time I left the company, I had gone through 6 managers and many mistakes because of it. That is too bad. I feel for the employees.

Thank you very much for the feedback. This information is valuable is Desert Wide Properties continuing to improve its training, as well as both the products and the services it provides.
Desert Wide Properties continues to take this type of information and review the facts and details surround it, then step back and assess what we could have done better. Regarding the hot water you referenced, in reading the notes and documentation, it does appear that due to the size of the expense and the extent of the repair (slab leak), we did make multiple attempts to contact the Owner of the property for both approval and additional funds. It is unfortunate, but you are correct, it took 8 days for the Owner to respond and remit the additional funds to make this repair. Since Desert Wide Properties is contracted by the Owner, we are sometimes at the mercy of the Owners and their responsiveness, as are the Tenants.
In addition, as a son of a Vietnam veteran who passed away just three years ago, as a direct result of his exposure to Agent Orange, I have a tremendous appreciation and respect for the services and sacrifices made by any armed forces member and their families.
Thank you to you and yours. I hope this helps explain some of the issues referenced in the review and if there is anything I can do to assist, or if you feel you need to express and positives or concerns, please feel free to contact me, Mark Wilkinson.
