Desaki more like Desucki
We went for dinner and sat for about 15 minutes before our waiter Rob came and said he will be right with us. 10 minutes later he came over to get our drink orders and joked about how his service would be terrible well he was right about that. The food was mediocre. The service was horrible and then on top of that I had to tip 18% for Robs horrible service even though I would have given him some customer service advise verses a tip. I would never go back or recommend anyone. They can Desuck it.
Reason of review:
Poor customer service

Child Burned at Desaki Restaurant - Swiftwater, PA
Desaki, a Hibachi restaurant located in the Poconos, needs to rethink their cooking style. We all know that part of the entertainment of eating in Hibachi restaurant, is the excitement the chef brings to the table. However, when it becomes dangerous and a fire hazard, you should rethink bringing your children here. My son was burnt on his face when a chef at Desaki Restaurant lit his hands on fire and put his hands close to my son's face. The flames burnt his eye and the are around the eye. Although the chef felt badly and was apologetic, the management and the owner himself could care less about the accident. Truly disgusting. You would figure the owner would look to do everything possible to make sure the well being of burnt child be a priority. First off, maybe call a paramedic or offer medical assistance. Nope. Maybe offer a complimentary meal or at least a free dessert. Nope. Nothing but a pompous smile on his face with NO regret about what happened.

You are sick. Your child got burned and you are more concerned that you did not get a free meal than your child.
People like you should not have children and your son needs to be taken from you. If you think your son was seriously injured why not call the paramedic yourself. Most likely because you were hoping if you stayed and made a scene you would get a free meal. Well a free meal is not going to heal your son if he was so badly injured that he needed a paramedic.
A free dessert is not going to make up if his injuries are bad enough to call a paramedic.
You are a sick person who cares more about getting free food than your child. Sick.
I don't know the OP's circumstances but I do know my 8yo daughter got 2nd degree burns on her face at her bday dinner after a fapor explosion because of a dumba**s!!!! Now I'm getting bills from the ER and the burn clinic for over $12,000 with really good insurance because they won't answer phone. Be carefull who you judge because you will be in SOS. Laugh if you want, I know I did. By the way it is not a woosh and fire it is an explosion and your ears ringing. BE AWARE AND REMEMBER YOUR COMMON SENSE!!!
The difference between you and this "parent" is she choose to stagger in the restaurant and get a free meal rather than seek medical attention for her son. She is more concerned about free food than her son which makes her not only a bad person but a sick person as well.
She does not deserve to have children and I have forewarded this review to CPS in hopes they take some action for her neglect to call a paramedic.
She allowed her son to be in pain, staggered in the restaurant demanding free food. Sick.
Karnak says your son may not have been injured at all. Perhaps you decided to use the fiery-hands-man as an opportunity to get your meal comped because NO owner would purposely ignore a childs burned eye!
Unless it looked fine. So your little scheme didn't work in your favor..
Next time bring a grasshopper, throw it in your salad..you may have better luck then. :roll
Your child was burnt and you are concerned about free food. Good Grief.
Get a good lawyer and sue them.
