DOR's system is hurting the homeless. Yes, some get great help, while others like me are going mad begging for services they promised to provide.

I have been homeless for two years due to job loss. I am having to call every other day to get my glasses filled. They made me get a new prescription at UC Berkeley when I had a fairly recent prescription. Then I get no response to pick out glasses and am told "that is a separate voucher".

They said I could get clothes for work. I went to ROSS and found nothing in my size and the shoes were made of mere plastic container materials. I am not expecting much. Then they sent me to Sears which is ten miles away.

I had no bus/bart money. I begged for change to go pick out clothes, only to have to return a 2nd time with the voucher...makes absolutely no sense for a homeless person. Now I am going to school, so called "Computer Bootcamp" for assessments, after doing a DOR 3 Day Assessment in Oakland. What was that for?

Now what??? Once again, I have no idea how long it will be before my worker even calls me. It's a day to day struggle for me. Where's Michael Finney when you need him!

I think I will start a Blog. This is our tax money!

If you’re looking for verbal and emotion abuse, humiliation, manipulation, and unethical behavior, Pam Miranda at the Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) is your woman or is it man?.

She'll humiliate and interrogate and trash you so why even bother keeping an appointment with her or her staff. If you complain the “staff” will claim you were never there or that they never called you. Pam will string you along using weasel words to make you think there are services when there are none. She doesn’t care what your situation is or even if you’re safe, she’ll just ATTACK, ATTACK, ATTACK. This office engages in *** BASHING so if you aren't married at the time of your appointment they’ll bully, humiliated, and attack you!

The staff at this office must abuse AndroGel (testosterone) to get that awful edge and the courage each day to trash their fellow Americans so watch out!

Pam and the DOR aren't providing any services so why do they have to ask so many questions??? Are they spying on Americans?

Remember, everyone who is homeless is a client of the DOR and they're still homeless so why are wasting your time with the DOR? The job of the DOR is to SCREW people not help them because this is what the government pays them to do!
