Verified ReviewerI've been poisoned by arsenic in housing section 8
ive been falsely imprissoned twice in 5 months . no my issue is nit resolved . ed ocampo sr
I have been repeatedly poisoned by arsenic in the city of San Antonio texas. Now totally in 14 separate readings in separate apartment complexes I would ask Dr Phil what are the chances.
I believe I have been politically targeted and that my life may be in danger still. I've discovered a toxic landfill that is responsible for 34 wrongful deaths in the city. I lived there and was appointed to find out what happened there. I learned that homes were built on a toxic landfill arsenic based and a floodplain Zone.
And that the city changed the plot map to their own liking allowing them to build on this toxic landfill. The end result was 34 wrongful deaths. San Antonio Housing Authority also poisoned my pet honey Ocampo they killed her March 19th 2014.
By placing arsenic in her food. Contact me at 210-262-**** Edward Ocampo Sr or edwardocamposr@***.com

Verified ReviewerPoor program, poor customer service, poor communication skills! USELESS
May 2022 I registered for HAF, and the caseworker has only called me once. He will not reply to my emails, phone calls etc.
I've submitted tons of supporting documents as requested and have asked that an escalated supervisor call me.
No one from HUD has called me to date! They are holding up the DEO, This program and those running it is USELESS!

Need payoff on my foreclosed property
My property was foreclosed on and the bank told me to contact hud to reinstate my loan through hud so Im needing to know how much and who I need to pay it to so I dont get put out in the cold with my 18 month old baby
DO NOT purchase a 30 year mortgage on manufactured homes!
Our mortgage was not only initiated 3-4 days before we even met the builder, but we received a generic manufactured home, instead of a modular. There was no appraisal, well yes, it was done, by the builder.
No inspection either. The house was set too low to the ground, no vapor barrier, no ventilation, 4' x 4' panels cut into floors for access. We are seniors, 12 years into a 30-year mortgage, still owing almost $200,000.00. Since the house was not set correctly and no ventilation under the house, the floors have holes, the ceiling has 2 huge cracks, the back wall is leaning backward.
The cabinets, tiles, lights, everything is coming off. For over 11 years, I have complained to no avail. The house will not stand another year, let alone another 18 years. RESPA says it was the responsibility of the lender, Wells Fargo, and the appraiser, who happened to fill out paperwork in accordance with the builder.
No one is excepting responsibility! We can't sell. The loan is under from the fraudulent appraisal We would have to bring the house up to code. Crest homes are the ones who made our "special house".
Crest only acknowledges the houses for 10 years. The people working for HUD in my area of Wisconsin are not responding, not have they been.
Housing policies for Sec 8
I understand the need to keep a tight budget, but the govt policy of 2 people per bedroom, no exceptions, is ridiculous. Not all double occupancy tenants should share a bedroom, but HUD insists that the living room can be used for a second bedroom.
What good does that do? The person in the living room still has no privacy, no space for a dresser or closet for clothes, and their sleep is often disrupted by the other tenant, or visitors.
I was raised that your kitchen/dining area is for food prep and storage, a table to eat at, etc. A living room is for social interaction and entertainment. The bedrooms are for sleeping, dressing, storing clothes and other personal items. But with the present policy, I will be forced to cook, eat, sleep AND entertain in "my bedroom." My bed will double as a couch, a bed, AND a dining table. I will have no privacy. If my adult daughter takes the living room, she would face the same problems, and my insomnia would disrupt her sleep. She needs to find work and have some kind of structured living arrangement.
The 1-bdrm units are barely big enough for ONE person to live in. They are more like "flop houses".... fine if all you use the unit for is sleeping and showers. But two people can't LIVE in a 500 sq ft apt. The units that are adequate size are in neighborhoods not safe for people who drive & have cars, much less those who have to walk everywhere. In Tucson, city lights are dim, pinkish, and far between, because of the airport and AFB, making walking to & from work an unsafe proposition.
When I rented my present apt, the policy said that two adults (not a couple,) could have a two bedroom. Then they changed it to 1 per two people, regardless. As long as we stay here, we can keep the 2-bdrms, but my landlord is getting lax on property upkeep and wants out of the Sec 8 program. I need to move, but can't find anything suitable AND within Sec 8 limits. For just $20.00 more per month (even if I had to pay it myself,) I could get a decent rental in a safer, well lighted neighborhood with job prospects all around for my daughter. But HUD won't allow me to make up that extra cost.

Neighbor with dogs
My hud subsidized renter next door consistently houses VICIOUS dogs. I have numberous complaints filed with my local city police.
Called several times about neighbor aggressive dogs. Wouldn;'t do anything.
One of their doges killed my chickens last year. Loss of business retribution for value or lost income not even a police cite for trespassing.
Another day came home to find my mother trapped in her car with three cujos jumping up and down trying to get to her. Finally got them to cite the neighbors for there dogs.
Now, they killed my bunnies. Yep no easter bunnies this year. I had consistent buyer with a local farm and ranch company. Every year I made $1000 more than the year before. The last year before the neighbors and thier dogs was $4000.
Not a lot of money but it paid my home ins and taxes. Both incomes gone. No way I can rebuild before dogs are back here killing. Not even worth trying if cops aint going to do anything anyway. Gonna have to find another way to pay my taxes and insurance, huh, aint no subsidy for me nor do I want one. Cops cited them but that don;t even compare to the amount of money I have lost. Cops said killl the dogs next time they come over. I will but really, is that how our country works.
They have everybody in the neighborhood scared to come out. The old people wont call the cops because they are just scared of what these thugs will do.
Now they have two couples that have moved in with the old man you all setup for free. With them and I think now they have 4 dogs.
I have worked and payed to get what I have and you all give someone that hasn't earned anything a free rent in a nieghborhood they don't belong.
That is why they don't care whose stuff they tear up or how much money they cost other people or even bring down our property values. Theyt are getting it for free.
We had a nice neighborhoods until the subsidized renters moved in.
I want HUD shut down or defunded.
HUD did this.

Bait and Switch from HUD Homes to Homeandhousesearch.com
I thought I was speaking to someone from HUD, who was looking for an agent in my county to handle leads looking for a home. Turns out I was speaking to a Liz from this site I've never heard of, and the cost was going to be $195/month for leads.
I am sitting here dumbfounded at how many people are out there trying to separate realtors from their money. I've bought a HUD foreclosure, so I was willing to help HUD for free. I am not willing or able to pay some unknown company who just set up shop 6 months ago, and has no track record, $195/month for leads. I can do the same thing with Zillow, which has more experience, but I really haven't heard much good about my chances with any of the online advertising services.
This, though, is an instance of Bait and Switch.

HUD Consumer Fraud
We were trying to buy a HUD house. The report from HUD said the electrical and the roof were good.
Upon having it inspected, the entire electrical system needed replaced. It was wired wrong and without a permit. The roof needed $7000 in repair. We backed out of the purchase, but HUD would not refund our $1000 earnest money.
How many more $1000's will they get from this property by lying to the consumer? There is no justice with regard to the government.
Any citizen cheating consumers would be prosecuted, but HUD is above the law. Isn't there any place to take this grievance?

Landlord threatens to terminate maintainance
I am a tenent in a senior citizen housing bldg.Today all of our maintainance were sent a letter from the landlord and approved by the town of wilna housing board, that any maintainance worker being any kind of friend in anyway with any tenants will be terminated!I happen to have been good friends outside of her work with one of the employees. This means our friendship has to end after many years or she will be terminated. Is this even legal? There are several other tenants in the building that are and have been friends with some of the maintainance workers also.
Promised lower rate, recanted; lied about Lien-in-Lieu.
First, we were promised one year of Hardship Department reduced rate, but after six months the rate went back to regular rate. The second time we applied for hardship Beneficial offered us a permanent lower rate if we made all of our payments on the Hardship reduced rate for six months we would get that rate permanently.
After the six months were up, we went back to regular rate. I was told that was their policy.
Then I refused to pay until they honored their promise, and they offered to take back the house in Lien in Lieu, which we accepted. WE now have 10 days left to move and no one can put the promise in writing and no one knows what we are talking about when we call.
It is obviously just another lie.
WE will not move now and make them foreclose. I got my deposit back from the rental and now I can apply to HUD when the forclosure starts.
Making Home Affordable Program
I'm being foreclosed on after going thru the Making Home Affordable Program for a year. Providing documentation over and over again, being told a different story by every CSR I spoke to, only to be told they wouldn't be making the modification, and would be letting the 2nd foreclose on me.
This was in October 2009, and now they are sending me instructions on how to get involved in the Making Home Affordable Program. It's freakin crazy! I had a modification amount!
They can have the house, as I cannot do this anymore. Relief for Main Street!
