Unauthorized auto renew tactics billing fraud

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I enrolled back in 01/20/23 for a 2-year dental discount plan, that was set to expire 09/14/2025, at which that date I never intended on renewing the plan. First, hardly any dentist in my area, except for Aspen Dental (another scam outfit), would honor the discount, so the plan was of no use to me.

I became eligible for Medicare Advantage April 2025, which does offer me dental benefits of $1000 per year for preventive care. So let me make it clear, I did not contact dentalplans.com to request renewal of their discount plan, and I did not agree to any auto-renew plan back in 2023. I noticed on my Discover Card bill for July, that Aetna billed my discover card for 164.95, for another two years, without my consent or authorization. I contacted Discover Card, reported the fraud, and I will not pay this bill to Aetna Access.

It is credit card fraud. The only documents I received from dentalplans.com was a digital ID card sent to my email back in 2023 Nothing on the ID card states that plan would auto-renew.

Why is dentalplans.com billing my credit card in July for a plan that expires in 2025. this is a bait and switch tactic.
