Verified ReviewerResolved: Out of Control Bureaucracy
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. Delcampe made the change to account information directly, that their software could not let me do myself. However, I will not know until another purchase if the solution has worked.
Moved and so changed the billing address for my credit card, which I use all over the world. But in order to change the billing address on Delcampe, Delcampe expects me to upload my passport, birth certificate, driver's license, and proof of my residence.
They call this 'for security reasons.' But this intrusion, to say nothing of putting all my sensitive documents on the Internet in PDF format for them, is secure? Freaking crazy!

Delcampe shows the buying price with the shipping cost included but forgets to show an additional cost of 10% over the total of the transaction plus 30 cents per item. If you know where to look, you can find it, but it's not easy to see.
Plus, the date they started with this process was in April of this year on a seemingly random date of the month for me.
So, I discovered these extra costs because I was surprised by the total in regard to the items I wanted to buy. Poor communication and transparency for buyers.

PayPal is not working
After using PayPal for years on Delcampe.net, I discover today that my PayPal payment method is not working on their website.
I tried to contact them and got a chat bot that was very unhelpful. Then they opened a pop up box which required me to pay for their help!
I refused. They offer no other way to get help with a technical problem such as a PayPal failure to complete payment to a seller.
I do not have hours of free time to waste on trying to figure out how to solve this problem within their website.
Responsible leadership should provide good customer service to help resolve major problems.
I am "virgils" on Delcampe.

Delcampe neemt het recht op om met uw eigen financiële betaling uit te voeren.
Om controle uit te voeren en kosten aan te rekenen werken ze met Mangopay. Ze hebben geen kritiek op het forum, ze antwoorden niet eens op uw vragen, ze hebben geen geluisterd oor.
Enkel Franstalige mededelingen, geen Nederlandse service en uitleg.
Bij afsluiting van uw account gekozen ze de tegoeden over te schrijven.

The reason of my feedback are actions of Delcampe Team. They don't protect rights of buyers at all.
If occurs a problem, they protect sellers but not buyers. So beware of this. You can lose your money, and your rights will be violated there by the Delcampe Support Team. I received damaged product from the seller.
And left zero feedback. I told that seller doesn't use cardboard and film for packaging. And this is the reason of damaging. I think other buyers should know and beware of this seller's packaging methods.
The seller left a revenge feedback for me. I opened a dispute asking to remove seller's feedback.
Delcampe Team removed the seller's feedback and my feedback as well. Despite that, my feedback was fair, honestly highlighting the situation.

You tell me that I may log in but then refuses to offer a change of nickname or password. This is extremely annoying as I have both bought and sold using your site.

A few months back, I bid on some philatelic (stamp collecting) items with Musketeren. He sells on the philatelic platform "Delcampe." I won the item and proceeded to make the payment.
Wise requires the email address of the merchant (seller). I made a good faith effort to make a payment. Musketeren refused to give me his email address; so I couldn't make the payment. He escalated the situation to the point that I told him to cancel the sale.
If he didn't want to give me his password, I wouldn't be able to make the payment.
DONT DO BUSINESS WITH HIM. There are many other merchants on Delcampe
