How to get refund for my friend

My friend and I take each other out for our birthdays for about 20 years.This time it was for my birthday. We try to go somewhere new so she wanted to go there.I feel so bad for her having to pay for that food.We got steak that was burnt not how we ordered it .The mac and cheese and the potatoes had no flavor .She was so disappointed, and I just whated you to know .The only good thing about the experience is the waitress was the best and so sweet.The service was great.
