Whynter - The worst experience with customer service and dehumidifier
by PissedConsumer1550072 #1550072
This company does not back up their products or warranty. Customer service just says their sorry.
sends emails with instruction only. Paid $300. the dehumidifier stopped working and would not pump out the water. This company does not care. In description it stated 70-pint portable dehumidifier with pump is a high capacity unit with an outstanding capability of up to 70 pints of moisture from the air per day.
This unit creates a very efficient and powerful companion to any home or workplace dealing with high levels of humidity. built for high capacity usage. However, the dehumidifier does not even last for a year. Their products are not built to last.
The company does not stand behind their products. With the worst customer service.

Frigidaire - Warrantee scam ?
by WhoppingHoneyBee #14701672.3
I had a Frigidaire dehumidifier which failed during the warranty period. They were very helpful and said that they would refund the cost of the dehumidifier if I sent them the necessary information by certified mail.
I sent it by regular mail and they told me they never received it. While this is possible, it is highly unlikely that it wkuld not have been divered. So I wonder if the request for certified mail is a way to disregard anybody who sends information via regular mail.
This would save them a lot on warranty reimbursements. Anyone else have similar problems?

I purchased a Danby dehumidifier a couple of years ago. It has very little time on it and still looks like new. When I started it this year, the compressor got extremely hot and kept shutting down. I called the 800 number and the lady told me it is out of warranty and...
