Hisense - Terrible Service

We bought their dehumidifier last summer and used it for that summer. When we turned it on this summer it ran, but the coil did not get cold, so it failed to work.
After talking with their service reps, and trying everything they asked us to try, we followed their instructions of cutting the power cord and sending them a picture.
Now, after we cut the power cord, they say that unless we can produce the actual receipt of our purchase from last year they cannot honor their warranty or provide any assistance. We are SOL.

After 1 year my dehumidifier DH70K1G won't extract water anymore. I filed my warranty claim but unfortunately I'm missing the receipt.
Hisense refuses to honor their 2 year warranty without the receipt and won't use the unit's serial number to validate date of mfg. or use my credit card statement from April 2018 as proof of purchase.
Lowes won't help either as they don't keep records of receipts past 6 months. SOL in Ohio

Stay away. Error code E9 after 6 months of use. Have no idea what E9 is because Hisense does not tell you and can find nothing on the web. Piece of crap

This company does not back up their products or warranty. Customer service just says their sorry.
sends emails with instruction only. Paid $300. the dehumidifier stopped working and would not pump out the water. This company does not care. In description it stated 70-pint portable dehumidifier with pump is a high capacity unit with an outstanding capability of up to 70 pints of moisture from the air per day.
This unit creates a very efficient and powerful companion to any home or workplace dealing with high levels of humidity. built for high capacity usage. However, the dehumidifier does not even last for a year. Their products are not built to last.
The company does not stand behind their products. With the worst customer service.
