Terrible scheduling

Terrible service. Avoid this company and their employees.

Tried to schedule an appointment several times. No shows both days.

Called a third time and was on hold forever. Finally, I have given up.

Poor Service- Poor Knowledge- Poor Installation

We have a new residence in Palm City, Florida 34990, and the builder uses D&D to do the garage door install.First week the single door would not raise because the cable to the shaft fell down. Second the eyes on the door would not let the single door raise as the Hurricane bar blocked the receiving eye.

The garage lights not installed. Week two D &D come back at the builders request fix single door, install cable, and lights. Now the double door will not raise.

I am in NY on business, and my wife is alone in Florida- She called D&D who said the earliest they could come back is next week on Tuesday to repair this problem that they created. They never tacked the wires to the door frame, so when I get back I will need to complete.

I hope Ruthenburgh, and Oakmont Homes decide to find an alternative company as this is the second time on second home I have had to deal with them and would suggest to anyone to find an alternative company.

D&D Garage Doors of Sarasota will Rip You Off!!!

I called D&D Garage Doors of Sarasota and the sent Franco to fix the garage door at a vacant rental property. They charged me $89 for the repair.

I realized 2 weeks later that the problem was never repaired. I called them to inform them that the door was still broken and that the work should be done under their 30 day warranty. They sent Franco out again to fix it a 2nd time. The 2nd time they charged me $89 again to fix the same problem.

I called the D&D office to dispute the fact the the repair man was charging me again for the same repair and was not honoring his 30 day warranty. They simply stated that it was a different problem than the 1st problem and would not honor the warranty. The rude girl answering the phone would not transfer me to a manager. Eventually after numerous attempts to reach a manger, I was able to talk to a woman that was a manager.

She was completely rude and was not willing to help.

If you need garage door repairs, call anyone but D&D. You can't possibly get worse service than what they offer.

Good Afternoon - I researched your complaint as we take them very seriously here at D & D. In fact this is not the norm, and we apologize for your frustration with us.

I can see that we went out on 6/09/13 and customer was complaining of ”door binding”, on a rental property. We lubed and serviced, adjusted limits on the operator (the op was an old omegamatic) and we charged our $89.00 service fee. On 6/20 we went back out “problem with operator and photo eyes”, we fixed that and this time we only charged $69.00 because this was a different issue than the 1st time. We also agreed to credit that 69.00 towards the purchase of a new operator if you continued to have problems.

My assumption (and I hate to assume) is that someone moving in or out may have damaged or broken the wiring for the photo eyes. We have been in business for over 20 years and we have a hard working, dedicated team. Unfortunately we cannot charge less, as it costs us more just to have our truck on the road then what we charge for the service call. We are licensed, insured, all of our team is highly trained and we do guarantee our work, that is why we charge what we do.

HOWEVER if we did something improperly or incomplete we stand behind it and we will make it right. Could you call me in the office to discuss further? I also want to apologize and address the tone and lack of professionalism you received on the phone, do you remember who you spoke to?

We do not have a female manager, but several female schedulers and I'd like to determine how and who the phone was given to when you asked to speak to a manager. If you can email us at info@***.com we'd like to opportunity to make things right for you...

D&D Garage Doors -Very Very Disrespectful

We are a customer of D & D in the past and on June 14th D & D sent Romeo out to do work on a new construction house across the street. Romeo came at 6:30am and made noise like he was trying to bust out of a steel building.

I had asked Romeo to keep the noise down until after 7 and he told me no. I then informed Romeo that it is against the law to make noise before 7am and Romeo informed me that I should call the police. In response I celled to speak with the management of D & D Garage Doors and was treated with absolute disrepect. The management has refused to return my 4 calls.

I would recommend finding another company to do your garage doors that has a respect for its customers. Please seek out a better company to work with.

D & D GARAGE DOORS RIPPED ME OFF IN SARASOTA

D & D Garage Doors of Sarasota Florda HAS EMPLOYEES THAT WILL ROB YOU BLIND WHEN YOU ARE NOT THERE. I OWN A HOME IN SARASOTA, WE WERE DOING REPAIRS AND WHEN I LEFT TO ALLOW THE REPAIRMAN TO FINISH HIS JOB, THE REPAIRMAN HELPED HIMSELF TO MY TOOLS.

WHEN I REPORTED THIS TO THE COMPANY, AND WE KNOW FOR A FACT THAT NO ONE ELSE HAD ACCESS TO THE HOME, D & D GARAGE DOORS DID NOTHING BUT DEFEND THE PERSON THAT WORKED FOR THEM. THEY DID NOT OFFER TO HELP ME IN ANYWAY SHAPE OR FORM.

SO NOT ONLY DID I HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE MY GARAGE DOOR FIXED I ALSO LOST $300.00 IN DRILLS AND BATTERIES AND ACCESSORIES. DON'T USE THEM, THEIR SERVICE MEN ARE THIEVES.
