Dci Customer Care Review

Takes way to long each and every time no matter how many people! It's just ridiculous! Over 2 hours! Worth way more than 25.00!

Discriminated against due to body art.

I went to DCI biologicals plasma center in clearwater to sell plasma on Sunday 7/27 I had researched the the company on line and made a couple phone calls to them to make sure I would avoid these kind of hassles, on their web site they stated that you could donate if you had not received a tattoo in 12 months, that's all that was said. I woke up showered and made myself presentable and went down to the lab. Understand that I'm doing this because I'm feeling the summer crunch, and they told me on the phone that I could receive 50 dollars for my first five visits. upon arriving the receptionist asked me how many tattoos I had, and I answered that I had eleven. She then informed me that that particular lab, not all of their labs has a two tattoo limit. So I Basically wasted my time and gas going down there. What was supposed to pay actually ended up costing me. I understand that hep b c and other infections can be transmitted by tattooing but they screen the plasma anyway, and how do they go about screening IV drug users and others that are more likely to have such things? I mean its a plasma center for christ's sake. I don't appreciate being treated like I'm dirty or something.

They are total ***. Thats what they are.

They are rude to people and they discriminate black people and hispanics thats ***. Sometimes they wont give the right money and if you tell them theyll gey very pissed at you. Very unproffesional everytime i went there it was very painful experience my arm was full of bruises and several unessecary needle sticks.

Staff is very rude too. They are always screaming at you.

The tattoo rules are set by the FDA, not the plasma center. The FDA regulations about who can and cannot donate plasma are quite complex, and while most plasma centers try to give as much advance info as they can to donors in their advertising, on their web sites, etc., the FDA regulations are too complex to sum up in just a few lines.

I work at DCI in Wilmington NC.. yes the guidelines are set by the FDA..

but each center sets their own limit as long as it's below the FDA limit.. our limit is 4.. I really don't think it should be so confusing for donors..

it should be the FDA limit at all centers.. and posted on the website..
