Verified ReviewerBroken Rod and worst customer service
Don't buy Daiwa product. The product quality is really bad.
My rod broke. They don't honor the guarantee
Don't buy the rod from [GEOGRAPHIC_DATA]. I bought a Daiwa Infeet EX and it snapped.
I called Daiwa to claim the warranty. It is my fault I didn't keep the receipt and the place I bought it had closed down.
I talked to [Name Removed], who has the worst customer service with no intention to help, and they requested that I pay for the snapped part. Please don't buy a Daiwa rod.
- Worst product and customer service
User's recommendation: Don't buy Daiwa products

Verified ReviewerDiawa service or I should say lack there of
- In August I sent a reel when Diawa USA shut down for Covid.
- They confirmed receipt, but now say they don't have it.
- No resolution; I'm out $340.
I Sent a fishing reel to them last August because Diawa USA was shut down because of Covid. They sent an email back confirming that they received my reel.
I just sent an email to them asking about my reel now they tell me that they don't have it.
I can't seem to get any sort of answer or resolution on this. Now I am out a $300 reel plus the $40 to ship it to them.
User's recommendation: Don't ever send anything to Diawa

Thing with Daiwa is, they don't do enough marketing and they're extremely stingy tight company but their worst is their Warranty department which includes their customers service. One thing I'd like to ask Daiwa is and it doesn't matter which country Daiwa replies, but if they're so confident with their reels then why don't they offer 10yrs warranty just like Shimano Instead of 1yr?
I wasn't aware but apparently but their top models like Saltiga Certate comes with 5yrs but Shimano is 10yrs on all their reels and their warranty is much easier n friendlier to deal with. I took my Sustain 4k which was 6yrs old but they replaced the gears when I had some trouble without any fuss. As long as you have a box you don't even need a invoice which I think it absolutely makes sense. Who keeps reel invoices for 10yrs?
Daiwa do even if it's few months old and if you don't then you pay, simple as that! I had over 15k worth of Daiwa gears and out of protest I sold every one of them and went to Shimano and I sent Daiwa Australia my invoice for the new Stella I bought.
