Refusing to pay for damages

I have used other companies for motorcycle transportation. Cost was a factor to select Daily Direct (Haulbikes.com) but you get what you pay for. It takes ages to deliver the motorcycle or as in my case a motorcycle trailer. Now, if that was the only issue I would still be OK. But there was damage on the trailer which clearly happened during transportation and they just refuse to pay the damage. After filing the claim, they were very slow to respond and had to reminded for weeks and weeks. Finally the owner responded by saying he did not think the damage happened during transportation. After many emails with supporting documentation back and forth, still not result.

So I decided to file a complaint with Better Business Bureau and write a few reviews.

Shame on Daily Direct to fight over a measly $400.

Daily Direct / Haul bikes.com

I paid Daily Direct over $1,100 dollars to ship my Harley to Sturgis from Texas. After the rally August 15,2011 they loaded my bike onto the trailer it's now September 14, 2011 and I don't have my bike all I get is the run around they say it's in a ware house in Milwaulkee.

They will lie to you all day long, they simply don't care if it takes month (s) to get your bike back to you, They already have your money ...I finally called the BBB in Milwaulkee Wisconsin and filed a complaint. I got a call last night and they say the bike will be at my house next mon or Tues if that is the case and they do deliver my bike on Monday that is 34 days they have had my bike.. But we will see.

Stay away from this outfit.

No ETA they will call me.

I feel like I payed someone 600.00 to steal my bike. I should of taken the road trip and got it my self.

DailyDirect - HaulBikes.com

Stay away from these guys at all costs! They lie about timeframes time and time again. At least they are consistent at one thing. Three weeks and my bike is still at their warehouse with no ETA on when my bike will leave there or get to my residence. Unless you don't care about when you will get your bike, do not use them.

I have had to call or e-mail them to get bad news time and time again. They never call, don't care about the consumer. Beware, I am telling the truth, they will tell you anything to get you to sign the contract and then will not deliver on one thing they have told you.

General Manager will not talk to you, his employee's will tell you that you have no recourse. Do not sign a contract with this company, they are crooks and liars!

Hey you guys you think that you are the only ones that are shipping a bike in the country. Well news flash the only way you can get it ship at the price you got is cause they have to haul more than one bike to make $$$$.

Or it would be more money than you can afford .stop crying and if you got a trailer queen buy a trailer and haul it.

yourself.

Failure to follow through advertised shipping time lines for motorcycle

Daily Direct motorcycle shipping company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin advertises on their nice looking web page that they "on average" will initially pick up a customers motorcycle within "7-10 days" from the time they receive your contract and take your payment. I sent my contract & payment to them on June 6, 2008 after I purchased a bike from a dealer on EBay in Tennessee. It took Daily Direct 30 days (June 6th until July 5th-one month) to drive from Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Tennessee to pick up my bike, which is way outside of their offer of 7-10 days. I am a reasonable person and would even give them an additional 7 of 10 extra days days due to bad weather, bad road conditions, etc but one month??? That is totally unacceptable business by them!!!

Daily Direct also advertise and offers their customers that "on average" their entire shipping process from start to finish generally takes 14-28 days and "sometimes less." As of today, July 12th my bike is still sitting in their Wisconsin warehouse waiting to be shipped to me in Las Vegas, NV. It's now 5 weeks (going on 6) and my bike is not even close to Las Vegas.

Finally, Daily Direct changed the shipping pick up dates two times because their driver was running way behind and never once contacted me or the pick up location person (the bike dealer in Tennessee). Daily Direct had the nerve to email me stating if their driver showed up (whenever that was going to be) and my bike pick up person was not around they would charge me an additional $100.00. We didn't even know they changed the pick up dates but they wanted to charge me for pick up times we didn't know they changed.

Dennis with Daily Direct told me last week he would just cancel my order and refund me my money. This is after I have and still am waiting well over a month on these people. What does it say when they are willing to just walk away after their poor service.

Do not use Daily Direct, do not fall for their fancy web page, do not listen to their bull. Once they take you money they will leave you hanging and waiting just as I am still am.

I have filed a complaint with the BBB.

All I want is my bike!!! I did not choose this company to ship it the dealer did.

I don't care what you have to do to get it here!! But you better get that truck moving or you can just send me 15,500.00 and keep the *** thing.

Well, their service hasn't improved over time. We are just past the 2 month mark since contracting with Daily Direct/Haul Bikes to ship our bike, and they just moved the delivery date back again today. I filed a complaint with the BBB and am trying to warn others to avoid this company if you actually want your bike delivered!
