Daddys junky music: paid in full then they went bankrupt
DADDY'S JUNKY MUSIC i paid in full for a limited edition keyboard but since it was used they told me i had to wait for 30 days according to state of MA law to take it home. After 30 days, when our contract stipulated I could have my instrument I went back to their Boston store and found the store closed without any signage or information. Apparently, they did not pay their loan in time and their creditor shut them down and took all the inventory. Its been two months and the owner is getting tons of industry awards for being a great asset to the musical community but I feel ripped off. Where's my keyboard? I paid for it in full and witholding my property for more than 30 days (it's been 90 days) is in breach of contract! The only information I have is a lousy facebook page that asks everyone to be patient- but what about the fact that I need that keyboard for my work and not having it when I expected it really messed with my livelihood? I understand that larger forces are at work but there are 48,000 outstanding purchases in "layaway" and the creditor (GE Captial Financing) acted rashly and has totally mismanaged the situation. It's a nightmare for all involved, I'm sure- but I'm sure I'm not the only starving musician who is pissed about not getting the merchandise they paid for IN FULL on time. What can we do now? Local business bureau also suggests just waiting and being patient and following GE Capital's instructions since the situation is pretty bad. Latest news is that at some point in time we will be contacted and told to drive "somewhere in the state of MA" to pick up our items! This is pretty bad and I'm surprised to see no one else has complained about them here.
