MISLEADING ADVERTISING

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Clearly states NON DAIRY. However after 3 days of severe stomach issues I looked over container and in the very fine print it says it has Milk Proteins which ARE dairy.

It is not illegal but very misleading. The law should be changed regarding Milk and Dairy products as this can cause very serious medical issues.

Cytosport Muscle Milk

Recently I purchased a container of Muscle Milk and noticed the new label i preceded to read the nutritional facts on the back and was surprised at what i saw. The amount of potassium had been lowered considerably. Enough to the point that the sodium content was greater. This combination should be a major concern to any individual attempting to live a healthy lifestyle.

The lowered potassium level allows the body to absorb the sodium full force which can lead to numerous health consequences. High Blood pressure, water retention, osteoporosis, kidney stones, etc, just to name a few. It requires a three to one ratio of potassium to sodium for the body to cancel the ingested sodium.

I have used Muscle Milk for many years and in the past have recommended the product to many people. However, with this "new" formula I will no longer promote Cytosport Muscle milk. I have emailed and phoned the company but my concern seems to fall on deaf ears. After speaking with a few of the distributors for Cytosport products. I've come to the conclusion that Cytosport relies on their established reputation, similar to an "Inflated Ego", and a "do what we want" attitude. This would fall inline with the ratio change. It would be unlikely that a consumer would catch this dangerous ratio change as I happen to. I was seconds away from opening the product and by chance happen to look at that section of the label.

Needless to say that I am now in search of a decent protein shake.

CytoSport - CytoGainer

Just purchased a newly packaged CytoGainer that had poor flavor. So I tried to call their home office and received nothing but voicemail. I asked the receptionist if I could speak to a real person and he just transferred me to the same voicemail box.

I also sent an email to customer service and received no response.

They offer a "Taste Satisfaction Guarantee". But I guess that's just an empty promise.

The father and son owners, Greg and Mike Pickett, talk on the box about how proud they are of their products, but they don't even return messages.

Very poor customer service.
