I was a victim of predatory loan pushed by the service department!!!

My name is Kevin Duncan. I recently came to this shop for a oil change.

The Service person made me aware of the other things wrong with bike and told me of a interest free loan that wasn't based on credit called snap.I was told it would cost a 1000 and I was approved for a 1000. When my bike was finished, I was directed to sign the loan papers to receive my Bike back. These papers looked nothing like the original it now said over 2000 was owed. I either had to sign the papers or come up with a 1000 on the spot!!!

I needed my bike for work that day so I felt compelled to sign. On the order it says labor charges added up to 700 at 110 an hour

I dropped my bike off at 930 and it was done by 1145

Cycle World works with a predatory lender who charges %187 interest!!!

They didn't work on my for 7-8 hours

My bike was returned to me in 2hrs!!!

I am a 60 yr old working man trying to make it and I needed my bike desperately for work

Poor service

They've had my bike for 6 months and still haven't done anything with it. Even for a major repair, which it doesn't require, this is way too long.

Preferred solution: My bike repaired, at a fair price.

User's recommendation: Don't bother using their service dept.

Virginia Beach Cycle World and Suzuki

With rising gas prices motorcycles sales have increased significantly. Buyers beware, if ordering accessories for your new toy motorcycle expect long delays on receiving.

I purchased a Suzuki Boulevard C50 from Cycle World in Virginia Beach Virginia. At the time of purchase I ordered a windshield, back rest, saddle bags and passenger floor boards. I was told that the order will take 3 to 4 days. For the windshield this was delivered close to promised time. After 6 weeks of waiting for the remainder of the accessories I still have not received the parts. Both Cycle World and Suzuki gave me the impression that it is the customers issue and that the customer should cheerfully give them your money and the will get you the product when it is convenient for them. You will quickly become a difficult customer if you insist on receive your purchased items in a timely manor.

Do not let them bully you. Contact your local Consumer Protect agency, your state Consumer Protection Agency and the Federal Consumer Agency. There are laws to protect you.
