Lost boxes of goods

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
They cant find my name nor the boxes of things I brought in. Mind you the things are brought in were Antiques. Etched green glasses small like , long opal stem ware, hand painted candle holders small handle white low sitting like a leaf beautiful, silver completely lost. The list goes on. Sad no one knows whats going on their. They also take things to auctions. No wonder things go missing . Now they cant find my name in their system. Pretty sad. I would rather throw my things out then to go through the stress of this ever again. Thought I would try one more time. Joke. The first time I had 3 bins of clothes I made $11:00. Wow sad.

Feeling ripped off!

I have been reading all of the bad reviews and I so can relate to them, things haven't been adding up. I keep thinking I can't believe alot of my stuff hasn't sold, whats going on. I brought in a big bag of nice brand name hats, scarves, gloves etc...most brand new, never got a dime. I brought in alot of stuff and it doesn't add up to $1.05. I called the store and spoke to the owner and he said.." Oh you got your money over a period of time"....NO I did not. Because when I sold something like nick knacks or things like that it said on my web page exactly what is was for and I never saw anything about clothing or the things I brought to their Central Street Store. He told me he would send me the list and guess what, he never sent it. Hmmmm...something isn't right there for sure! I had this funny feeling with them and it appears I may have been right on. Always follow your gut feeling. I saw these reviews and I said OMG. I even directly asked the owner what charities they deal with and he said they deal with all kinds and wherever the need is...BUT he never said any names.....you would think they would be proud to say what the charities are, so makes me think this is all a front of some kind. Most business's reveal who the charities are, why wouldn't they right? Feeling shafted here and wishing I had donated the stuff to real charity myself. Will do that in the future for sure. I've also dealt with Amy, so I know what everyone is talking about. I have a feeling they don't keep help, changes alot. Hoping the right people read this, it should be looked into. PS...I am still reeling over the time I went in and they refused to take it for whatever reason. I remember standing there and thinking why? It's like new and it made no sense. I know they have to be picky so I just said ok. A few weeks later I went browsing in the store. I went to the craft section and what do I see, a very dirty plastic craft bin that I thought was just left there by a worker, I go to move it and it had a price tag on it???????????????? I was livid, they refused my item and accepted that piece of junk...seriously! That was pretty much it for me...………..pssstt,,,better business bureau!!! Shocked

I agree...they steal the good stuff...I am never bringing anything there. Most places go over everything you bring and give you a list.

Go to Kids Stuff in West Boylston for clothing and Gallery 56 in Clinton for house hold things. Both are honest and pay you.

I think they’ve stolen my nice items!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I used to consign here years ago and it was pretty good. But now, even when I bring it items that are in excellent condition, I never seem to make anything at all, and I never see them on the floor. It doesn’t make sense to me. If my items aren’t on the floor and didn’t sell, what happened to them? I can see if they weren’t nice, but I brought in shoes and handbags that were expensive and good quality (better than the ones they had in stock when I brought them in) and yet I received nothing for my items. Several hundred dollars worth of nice items and I ended up scammed, it seems. Don’t consign here. Used to be good, but now I think they steal items.

I think you are right. I brought in brand new shoes (one pair was light-up sneakers no less) and Patriot's items and none sold?

Highly question this company. Won't be going again.

It takes months for ur items to hit the floor and anything "donated" is really sold to places such as Cash for Clothes

Haven't had problems here.

I'm a consigner & shopper here. Never had any of these problems. I've been paid for everything sold. They do go over clothes looking for any defects, often find things I didn't see & reject them. Now that they don't look at them while you wait, you don't know what's rejected.

Cutie Patuties in Leominster is beyond dishonest!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have heard so many rumors and seen things to make me believe it is true. Facebook discussion pages have had many threads about the same thing. Over and over, the same things. Cutie Patutie Children's Clothing Consignment Store in Leominster, MA in the Johnny Appleseed Plaza is a terrible company! The manager Amy is incredibly rude to customers. She treats them like *** She seems to treat her co-workers the same way complaining that she works with idiots and everyone there is ***. She has been seen screaming at the skinny delivery man many times. People bring in tons of clothing and barely any hits the floor. They say they donate items they cannot use but never give you a clear name of a charity. They say Battered Women's shelters or house fire victims. But they don't tell you who. There are rumors they actually sell the "donations" to a company that pays per pound. Before that the employees get to go through it and take whatever they want without paying the consignor. Go in and ask employees where they got a necklace they are wearing or a cute shirt and I bet they tell you Cuties. But then ask them how much it cost and watch them get uncomfortable. I have seen people negatively review them on the facebook page and they take it right down. They aren't an honest company. I have heard the employees complain to each other that they didn't get a break again even though they were there for over 6 hours. They don't even take care of the employees. They gave back half of the store to the landlord and laid off half the employees but they have an ad stating they are hiring because the store and the team continues to grow. The same owners own Cutiques in Leominster with the same problems. The stuff they "donate" ends up being used as supplied items in the craft workshops they charge people to take. but they don't pay the consignors for those items. They are lying thieves!

A few yrs ago, in the fall, I brought in two Fall Floral arrangements. One was in an antique Vase my Grandmother gave me.

The item did not sell, and it was not on the floor either. They refused to give it back to me. I think it went to Salvation Army. i plead with them saying that if it sold it was one thing, but it was from my Grandmother when she was alive and meant a lot to me.

They would not budge.

I had money coming to me and told them to take it and give it to charity or themselves. I will never do business with them again!!!!!

Bring in good stuff and it goes home to employees for free or little money....they are crooks...I won't anything there again...

I agree .. I actually heard a company come in to the front desk while I was checking out and told the cashier she was "cash for clothes" and she was there to pick up the "donations" a week ago

I am having exact same issues as a new consignor. I wonder if Leominster Chamber of Commerce would be interested in hearing about this.

I agree...they don't pay for most of what you bring....prices are high....I am not bringing things there any more. Go to Kids Stop in West Boylston...she is home estate and puts stuff right out. You do need appointment.

I brought stuff in for consignment in October. Many items that I find hard to believe weren't sold.

They are all in style some like new. I brought stuff in October, November, and December. I asked about my stuff in December and eas told that it wasn't on the floor yet. BS is all I can say.

I've made $10.50. On five full totes belts, gloves, and as I stated nice clothes. I don't think they even made the floor. I think they take what they want and lie saying it was donated.

My son has thf same issues. Only he has a little morethan me. Girls boots, new snow suits, totes packed full of stuff. I suggest people post their stuff on OfferUp it's a free app and you keep ALL your money.

I've made more $$$ selling my stuff that way. Baby items especially go fast.

I have had the same issue. I started consigning there about 4 years ago.

Initially it was great. The first time I brought in multiple baskets of items and it all sold right away. I had a large credit which I used to purchase clothes for my kids. The last couple of times I 've dropped stuff off I have been suspicious that something is not quite right but I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and try again anyway.

Recently (November) I brought in 5 baskets of items. All like new, girls, boys and womens clothes and accessories. Much of it was nicer than what I saw on there racks the day I was there. I went in about 5-6 weeks later when I had noticed that not even one item had been sold.

I went into the store to check the racks and saw none of the items I consigned. When I asked why nothing was out yet It was explained to me that the items now go to a central warehouse were they are sorted and tagged and then come back to the store. I was told its not unusual for it to take 6 weeks. My items that were dropped off in early November did not get put out until mid/late January.

I have since seen a few things sell. But find it hard to believe that it was not more. Most of the items that sold only made me a dollar and change even though it had just gotten put on the floor.

Also the fact that you give them your name and all they do is type in the number of baskets you hand them instead of an itemized list makes me leary. Its starting to look like consigners are not getting full or fair credit for what they bring in, whether its intentional or not, I don't think I will be consigning there anymore.
