I had a very difficult time getting my table after I paid a 50% deposit. I couldn't reach the guy for weeks on end.

I contacted Custom Made and they were of NO help whatsoever.

After finally getting my table, the top cracked within a month. Now I'm not sure what to do as the furniture maker is so unresponsive.

In January 2019 I contracted John Reynolds of Ondine Custom Furniture in Los Angeles, CA to manufacture a bathroom vanity. I utilized CustomMade to contact John Reynolds and made the initial payment through CustomMade.

In March 2019, when I was supposed to take delivery of the vanity, I could no longer reach John Reynolds by email or phone. I addressed this issue with CustomMade, and they told me that "they" had contacted John Reynolds and that I should hear from him within 48 hours. NOTHING. I again addressed this issue with CustomMade and they recommended I submit a formal dispute with them, which I did, and was again told to wait another 48 hours to be contacted by John Reynolds.

NOTHING. At this point, I decided to dispute the initial payment with my credit card company. CustomMade then notified that since I disputed the charge with my credit card company, there is nothing more they could do. Just as well, they would still be stringing me along at 48 hour intervals with no results.

I can not even provide a negative review because they have kept my project in the "processing" status and you can only submit a review when the project is completed. This project will never be completed since John Reynolds has apparently disappeared.

Commissioned a custom patio table from John Reynolds back in December 2018 and made good faith deposit of $1350.

John Reynolds, if that's even his name, came by my office to pick up a chair to match the color. All seemed legit. 4 months later still no table.

I've called, texted the number he provided numerous times over many days and no response. This clown has just disappeared. I emailed the CustomMade website to resolve and got no response from them either.

I filed a fraud complaint with my credit card company and they're investigating. Also emailed the BBB and called the LA police department.

They are trying to scam you with bad quality of gems for high prices

After three months of back and forth, my project with a maker on Custommade ended up with me filing a dispute with my credit card company.

The maker never made my item, despite giving my bogus updates and assuring me it was shipped.

On top of that, Custommade only allows reviews for projects that have been marked completed BY THE MAKER. So if the maker never makes your project, and scams you out of money, you can't review them and warn other people. Sounds like a perfect situation for scam artists. It's a stupid rule and a ridiculous business model.

I hired a furniture maker on custommade.com. I put a $1155 deposit on the piece of furniture.

The guys ghosted me after two months of delaying the project with every excuse in the book. I filed a dispute with custommade.com and they did absolutely nothing about the situation. I tried to submit a second dispute and they said I could no longer submit a dispute because I had already filed one. They stopped responding to me just like the furniture maker did.

I am out $1155 now with nothing to show for it. Stay away. They seem to back their makers over the consumer. Not a company to do business with.

I'm not sure how they could do this to someone.

Don't use this company. You will definitely regret it!

All I want to do is delete my account and it is LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE. NO email responses from customer service and there’s not even the option to talk to someone on the phone.

CustomMade is no help at all. I will never use it and NEVER recommend it to anyone.

I’ve read many bad reviews all stating the same: no service, no help, and scams. Good luck to anyone who chances it.

I ordered a ring from custom made, the maker gave me a quote, i agreed. After I put my deposit down, which was half, he changed the price and up-charged 150.

We negotiated back and forth and I agreed to his additional 150 if he in fact has to use the extra gold, I want to be fair and compensate an artist for hard work. He stated he would not charge the 150 extra if he did not use the gold he may need. After weeks beyond the deadline, he sends me a picture stating the project was complete, i then paid the remaining requested amount which came to 750 and some shipping. I Reviewed the stones again with the specification list, and he put the wrong stones in.

He stated that he would send me the ring and I could send it back for him to replace the stone, i told him at this point to ship it after the correct stones were in, 3 weeks later he sends me another picture saying the job is complete and he needed another 150. I said OK, please send me the ring and I will give you the 150, he then demanded my email address and I pay him pay pal. I said no, send me the ring and you will get the additional 150-he never responded back. So this guy has my 750 bucks, I have nothing.

Custom made seems to be a total scam the consumer website. Custom Made staff did absolutely nothing to resolve the issue.

Long story short, I had to call my Credit card company who is now investigating for fraud. Awful experience, do not make the same mistake.
