Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. I sent an email through their website. They FINALLY responded.

4-9-24 Update: They sent me an email stating they would close my account and refund my money. We'll see in 10 days if that happens.

I canceled my subscription after the year I paid for. The following month, I was charged again. I am asking for a refund...if I could find a person. Crap customer service. CRAP.

I canceled the service on December 22. They charged me for another year on Jan 3.

I hadn't budgeted for another $43, beside the point, but I am retired and live on a limited income. I need that refund. Now. And this is how I find out what crap their customer service is.

I CANNOT find a person. I had to go online to find an actual "customer service" number. I did email..maybe someone will get back to me. I will try the customer service number again.

But I shouldn't have to go through all this for THEIR mistake. This is why I will never recommend this streaming platform. Content is fine.

But if you have a problem, you're on your own. Stay away

I recently purchased the Smart Bundle annual plan from Curiosity Stream for which I have been charged 80$+ (including taxes). The plan promised access to various other subscription platforms namely Nebula, One day university, SOMM TV, Da Vinci Kids, TOPIC and Tastemade.

After purchasing the plan. I noticed I am unable to activate Topic subscription as it is unavailable in my country. There had been no disclaimers mentioned for the same on the website also it is unfair on a specific demographic to have to pay a premium on a service on which they only receive a part of benefits. I tried connecting with the customer service team on chat and the responses by the representative were only one liners which I could receive only after long intervals.

There were only generic, automated responses from the representative with no proper explanation or redressal.
Next, over email I had been promised three free months of subscription extension but even that had not been applied to my account and after frequent reminders I noticed that finally my account has been deactivated without any prior intimation or even a basic response from the team over the previous reminders. Instead, a gift card has been applied to my account due to which the Smart Bundle annual plan I was charged for has been downgraded to the Standard plan, which was the most basic offering on the site and I have now been removed from all other platforms which were included as part of my subscription.
Despite constant reminders and emails, the team has failed to get in touch with me and provide any proper redressal. There should be a proper alternative for the people who are paying the same amount for the whole service but still are not receiving the benefits they are paying for. Also, customer service needs to be trained on ethics and proper redressal.

Mentioning the services which are part of the plan (for which a premium is charged) as extra perks is highly unethical and misappropriative. And lastly, making false promises and deactivating services without any prior intimation or consent is highly unethical and cannot be tolerated.

I cancelled with an hour of realizing charges ..I called and someone did say they cancelled however I have no refund..I just tried calling the same number and that number on customer service and it's not valid..what kind of business are you running ?...is there no ethics anymore ??

Objection related to content

In time and history related program, you are showing Indian ancient temples and narrating as it belongs ancient Pakistan. You are more focused on whats happening in Mesopotamia in 2500 BC - same time you are ignorant on whats happening in 2500 BC in Indian subcontinent.

Very loosely and foolishly created documentary. If I see same ignorant programs Ill rethink on subscription renewal.

Their is no section showing - continue watching where I can track and continue watching half seen programs, very dumb app!
