This women just arrested on 76 counts of animal cruelty
This person just arrested on 76 counts of animal cruelty!! She runs a horrific puppy mill.
Check Brevard county Fl for more info. Do not buy a puppy. She is an awful human being !! Conditions horrible for poor dogs.
She was keeping them away Nader floor boards in run down old house. No walls.
No food or water. Dogs with broken legs and other horrid conditions
Shut them down
I received a 4 month old Dalmatian from this breeder. Upon arriving the pup weighed 11lbs!
She was the size of a roll of paper towels.
After a vet check, it turned out that this poor dog had a skin infection, double eye infection, double ear infection, and a parasite. She may also have distemper, which means that not only will her future be bleak, but possibly any of the other dogs she has come into contact with.
This establishment needs to be shut ASAP.

Would not even give one star.

Preferred solution: Needs closing down.
Should be shut down
The place is filthy. She clearly cannot take care of her own household so nothing leads me to believe that the dogs which she brings in to you aren't living in filth also in the backyard shed.
I feel sorry for those dogs. She should not be in business.
How does the AKC cerify her? If that's the case there is no reason to get a certified dog because clearly noone is checking this.
Backyard Breeder - Beware
The puppy she gave us had tons of fleas, had worms literally coming out of his butt, AND he has a heart murmur. He is around 1 year and the heart murmur still exists.
Having to go to cardiologist and spend thousands on testing to determine what or if anything can be done. Elisabeth "Liz" response? NOTHING! "12 month health guarantee" my ***.
We don't want to return the pup as we've invested so much money into him and he's a great puppy minus this major health concerns. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Do NOT buy from this lying backyard Breeder. *We got our puppy at 14 weeks, well past the 8 week mark.
Our vet immediately detected the murmur at his first visit.
The vet confirmed that there was NO WAY you could miss this murmur - it was very evident. When we brought it up to Liz she said, and I quote, "our vet never heard a murmur".
Sick puppy with Pneumonia from Liz Cleveland
I am have the same problem with this breeder. My puppy still sick with pneumonia. I filed a complaint the BBB in FL and with AKC as well.
On May 7th I received shipping from FL, a lilac female Miniature Shar Pei. From the moment I received the puppy she has not been healthy whatsoever. She came with only 1 paper from the vet and the only one which was the Certificate of inspection from a vet for interstate movement of dogs, cats etc….and on that paper it stated that she was too young to get vaccines, however after speaking to multiple veterinarians I was notified that at six weeks she was eligible to get her dewormed and the breeder on an email said that her first vaccines were not administered by a vet, she administered them herself as stated copied from email.
which by law and Florida law any animal under 3 months of age has to have all its shots by a licensed vet. From the first week that I had her she had two types of worms (round worm and tapeworms) that made her very ill and unhappy, in which I have pictures and receipt from vet on May 13, as proof that she did not take care of the animal. I've also noticed that her eye was tacked and I did not receive any paperwork on that either.
From the day we got her from the airport we noticed a limp in her front left leg which she still has and we have had to pay for two X-Rays to make sure that she is okay and it turned out to be an abnormality from birth we've been told, I have photos and video. This causes her extreme discomfort and she has a hard time walking freely. I have asked several times now on paper work of genetic testing of both parents ( which by law is required to be done when your breeding dogs so not to cross breed) to see if was from them. Still has not answered me on that and all I got as a reply was and her words exactly
Soon after we were notice her breathing badly and rushed her back to the vet and were told that she has pneumonia and she was admitted into an emergency vet clinic where she was incubated for about 3 days and was put on antibiotics. She is currently still on antibiotics since it was so bad and she was nearly dying when we took her to the vet. We were also told by the vet that she was most likely sick since birth which soon developed into the pneumonia. I was extremely hesitant to contact the breeder in fear that she would ask for her back and put her down
( sending her back was not an option), but this is becoming an expense that I did not expect. The weekly trips to the vet have become both emotionally unbearable and financially unforgivable. I finally contact the breeder on June 24th by email and she is not willing to cooperate with me. I have asked her for my contract and AKC papers and all I get from her are excused. This woman states she’s a breeder how ever she gave it away that she absolutely is not in the email where she states she purchased her other dogs from a breeder that has same issue. This woman is selling dogs that’s she has no knowledge on and buying them from breeders and selling them on line and then once she has them she then registers them to AKC as if she is the breeder (PUPPY MILL ) ( BACK YARD BROKER FOR BREEDERS) that’s what she is. Selling someone a sick dog like this is completely unprofessional and downright heartbreaking. Also, I have asked for any explanation as to why she is this sick or any paperwork that was maybe not sent to me. Now she is asking me for more money in order to get my AKC paperwork in which I originally paid for and never received. I have gone on line since all this has happened and found tons and tons of written up things on her from 100’s of people like myself all complaining about the dogs being sick, having deformities and her constantly changing the spelling of her name down to where she used her maiden name then changed her name of her business. This really needs to be investigated people like her should not be allowed to just go on line and register dogs that she is purchasing from other breeders as if they are hers and misleading buyers.
Curio Kennel Shar Pei Dog Review
Purchased a blue Shar Pei three months ago. Puppy came in very cautious of people, i.e.
not handled much by the breeder. Eyes need tacked. Called Liz and she said tacking isn't covered in her 12 month phony healthy guarantee. $200 additional out of my pocket.
Really great breeder in Iowa if your looking. Wish I would have found them first!
Curio Kennel - Dog Review from Tallahassee, Florida
I dont normally do this but i figured i would because the experience i had was a disturbing one to me. I own a beautiful shar pei that i have had her whole life (almost 7 years) from a proper breeder.
A few years back i was looking into possibly purchasing another pei to add to the family. I found Curio kennel being one of the only pei breeders in florida and semi close to where i lived. The prices were high (as expected) so i took my time looking for a new pup. I came across some puppies they had at curio kennel named Oops puppies.
Basically... They were not paying too much attention to the dogs and ended up with a mixed breed litter of pei and akita. The puppies were considerably cheaper ans adorable. I hate thinking that they would be over looked because they arent of a pure breed so i showed interest.
Curio at this time bres peis, akitas and dalmations. I remember a speedy response and and eagerness to have me purchase a puppy from Liz. I was given directions to the "kennel" and made my way out there. It was difficult to find...
In the middle of nowhere was a small trailer in coco (nothing wrong with a trailer) but what bothered me was the small fenced enclosures for these dogs in the middle of summer outside. The living situation was unnaceptable and reminded me very much of what you would perceive a "puppy mill" as. Im a dog groomer by profession and i was astounded at how they treated these animals. I understand that a lot of breeders have farms and land for thier canines but this was hardly that.
At that point i just wanted to buy all of them. It was hard to see and walk away from. Shar peis were not meant to live in that kind of heat. I could only imagine how well they took care of the puppies.
And i soon found out when a bloated belly puppy was carried out to me. Immediately after picking her up i did not say much exchanged money and left. I could have been anyone this girl didnt care. I was very upset.
I drove straight to petsmart and grabbed de wormer. Low and behold she was filled with them. She ended up getting better but be very careful especially if you are having them shipped. This is not soms nice beachy kennel where the dames and studs are treated well.
Its very saddening.
Its an income for this couple, not a love of breeding. I dont believe they even have the peis tested ans approved for breeding.

Worst experience ever. I saw a miniature shar pei I wanted on puppy find.com.
I saw that curio kennel had the cutest little girl from coco,Fl. Elizabeth was eager to answer questions, but only seemed to care about payment instead of the home she would be going to. Elizabeth stated that she would be able to ship the puppy, and send all of her paperwork for $1,200. I agreed and I sent the payment via PayPal.
(DO NOT LET THIS WOMAN TAKE YOUR MONEY IN ANY OTHER FORM OF PAYMENT IF YOU PROCEED TO BUY FROM HER.) I received the puppy and she was extremely sick (fleas, vaginitis, ear infection, and skin infection) and didn't come with any AKC paperwork OR valid vet documentation..it literally looked like you could print it off online and had no vet signature. Elizabeth also lied about the age of the dog by a month and a half. I filed a dispute with paypal and got all of my money back after Elizabeth had 11 days to counter file and prove she sent paperwork and refused. Elizabeth then proceeded to harass me and say she was going to file criminal charges against me and drive up to New York to sue me for a stolen dog, fraud, and grand theft (clearly this woman doesn't know her legal terminology) anyways, I ended up writing a proposal to receive proper documentation and I would pay her an amount I felt was reasonable, or she could take me to small claims court.
She refused and was willing to pay the shipping for the dog back and I was able to keep my money. This lady will try in every possible way to scam you.
Do your research! I am not the only victim of Elizabeth's puppy mill scandal.
Received a VERY sick puppy from this breeder (Elisabeth "Liz" & Richard "Rick" Cleveland)
I would also recommend finding another breeder. Liz is very tentative while showing interest in her puppies, but does a fine job of dancing around any important questions regarding the pups health before she received payment and books the dog's flight. Once the dog's paid for/shipped and in your hands, you won't get her 10 minute e-mail response time, but instead, you'll have a sick pup in hand with questions going unanswered for 24-48 hours. She also refuses to help with any vet bill that may come with getting the sick pup she sent to you, healthy. My specific review of this breeder is because of our story that follows -
On August 16th, 2014, I had purchased a miniature shar pei puppy from Curio Kennel, and my sister and I were picking her up from the airport. When we pulled her out of the crate she was shipped in, her eyes were caked over with mucous/dried eye boogers. Her flight from Florida to Los Angeles had been delayed 2 hours, so she spent a 12 hours sedated. She also had a VERY nasally sound to her breathing, but again, I thought she probably had a lot of snot/boogers from being knocked out for so long; I figured because she had such a long trip, it was probably very hard on a little pup at just 10 weeks old.
We kept a close eye on her through the night, and into the next day. That next evening, I noticed an "eye booger" looking thing on her butt, and figured it was from our other male shar pei (who's 3 years old) playing with her. I wiped the "eye booger" off with a piece of toilet paper, and I realized it was MOVING on the toilet paper. It was very obvious it was some kind of worm, most likely tapeworm after googling it. Not a huge deal, as a lot of puppies tend to get tapeworm once or twice, but we figured we'd take her to the vet to just do a complete checkup on our new puppy (even though we hadn't, and STILL HAVEN'T, received her papers from Liz). After her vet visit, she was diagnosed with a very severe respiratory infection, eye infections in both eyes, and an open wound/lump on her front right leg. Obviously we had to move forward with treating our pup, who's name is now Pumpkin :), sooner than later, as a respiratory infection can easily turn into pneumonia very quickly in a puppy. She was prescribed a high dosage of antibiotics, eye "drops" (more like a vaseline), Panacur for tapeworm (which Liz had stated she was on as a puppy in order to rid of any tapeworm-like viruses), a small circular pill that was to take care of her "hookworm" parasite, and they drained the lump on her front right leg. Our vet told my sister and I, not to get our hopes up, but we had some work to do, as her respiratory infection is very severe and will likely turn into pneumonia (often a puppy killer). Total Cost: $511
After her first appointment, I contacted Liz asking for her papers, per our vet's request. Liz stated she had mailed the papers already, and wasn't able to scan a copy to our vet's office because she doesn't keep a copy of them for herself. At this point, I started to feel really uncomfortable dealing with this lady. She wouldn't answer the phone, wouldn't respond to my emails but every other day, and refused to help with our cost at the vet's office JUST 2 DAYS AFTER RECEIVING THE PUPPY. Our vet recommended re-vaccinating her and giving her all the necessary shots a puppy's supposed to get. We agreed and ended up covering the cost.
Pumpkin ended up having 2 follow up appointments, and had to continue antibiotic treatment for almost a month. She has another appointment next week for a check up, but seems to be doing a lot better; I think she's going to make it. :)
I normally don't like to submit poor reviews in lieu of a poor purchase/sale on any type of website, and I probably wouldn't have wrote one if our puppy hadn't made it through all of this, but Liz Cleveland and her husband are crooked. I highly recommend not buying a puppy from this breeder, unless you're looking to go through a string of emotions trying to get your puppy to good health.
Curio Kennel-Cocoa, FL Selling Sick Puppies!
Elisabeth Kuzniar is constatly changing the kennel's names so that no one can follow the complaints filed against her. Please find a reutable breeder in the area.
There are plenty! Just look. You will be paying a hefty fee for a sick puppy.
She doesn't even take the puppies to the vet as required by law and is blatant about it. Not once did she clean our puppy's ear and he had an ear infection.
Our puppy also requires many eye surgeries which she denied he would. Elisabeth refuses to take care of her puppies and only wants the hundreds of dollars they bring her. She will not work with you to ammend her wrongs.
She will not refund any veterinary cost and does not care if you take her to court because, as she stated, "The courts cannot MAKE her pay. She's a student and she has no assets." Those were her words to me.
Buyer BEWARE!!! Please, please, buy from a reputable breeder and do not support this woman who breeds and sells sick puppies!!!
