In June I was ment to go on a cruise it was cancelled thats fine but I canceiied 23April and I still do not have my money back .

Hoilday of a lifetime on Queen Mary was a disaster.

We booked the 1st leg of QM2 round the world cruise because of the ports of call (2 in Eygpt) and cruising through the suez canal. We were very disappointed with the Queen Mary - not as grand as we hoped - showing her age. Food in the restaurants was good but the "casual" dining area was more like a busy motorway service station with too few staff. Fellow passengers who had sailed on other queens were also very disappointed. Eygpt was declared unsafe so the itinerary was changed to Aquaba in Jordan giving access to Petra. The other port added was a container port in the UAE where there was nothing to do or see. Many passengers had like us booked the cruise because of the itinerary, so you can imagine the huge disappointment when we eventually sailed through the canal overnight so saw nothing. We were also delayed going through the canal and this resulted in the call to Aquaba being abandoned and Muscat was added. So instead of some fantastic opportunities to see some of the wonders of the world we spent 10 days at see and then called at two ports which had nothing to offer. From day one the entertainment was poor and because we were stuck at sea and unable to pick up new entertainers it got worse. Lots of passengers tried to complain but were given very short shrift and when we finally arrived at Dubai the captain appologised for any disappointment regarding the itinerary but he had delivered the number of ports of call for which Cunard were contracted to deliver. Cunard will i am sure hide behind their terms and conditions but what their duty to deliver what was advertised. Never again will I criuse with Cunard
