What a ripoff!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I told the "financial adviser" worker at my credit union I DIDN'T want an annuity - several times in the same meeting. I thought I was being put into a mutual fund.

Not so! My account has lost $6,000 over the last year. I could have picked better stocks by throwing a dart at the Wall Street Journal!!!

Investing in a CD would have put me thousands ahead of where I am now! If I had known the name of the company before hand, I would never have invested, period!

Not happy

Went with this group because it was recommended by my credit union. PMCU.

So far very disappointed, once I'm break even plan to cash out this acct and go with another mutual fund group. Since I opened portfolio 6-7 month ago, my acct went from 80,000 minus 3000$ in commissions(for what I am not sure) and then plummeted to 73,000...it has been back and forth up and down most it regained has been 77,000 and now down again today. Very sad in comparison to my Empower acct. that has gone from 144,000 at same time as CUNA acct.

to today at 151,000. Wishing I had just kept the 80,000 in my simple savings acct!!!

Double insurance on my car

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I paid for insurance 5 days after the due date. CUNA started up a new plan after the 2nd day I was late, no one notified me and the insurance plan was not canceled after I was insuranced.

This happened twice during my loan. When my loan was paid they took, they didn’t ask they took $2,200.00 out of my account to cover this so call auto insurance.

They stated that they could reimburse me $1,500.00 of the insurance i paid, i haven’t seen a dime. Thank you for screwing me, I hope it felt good squirt squirt

Michael Suggs is the Best!

I can't recommend Michael Suggs enough. He is a professional through and through.

He knows his products inside and out. He is personable and caring. I never felt like a number to Michael. I felt like a friend he was guiding along the way.

In a world where customer service is almost an afterthought, Michael always goes the extra mile.

Folks these days are often suspicious of those in the financial industry. In many cases, these suspicions are well founded. Michael however is a different story. I have never been given cause to question Michaels integrity.

He is also simply an old fashioned nice guy.

That goes a long way today. i have no doubt that when I am ready to invest Michael will be my go to guy!

Why didn't Cuna Brokerage Services notify me regarding the stock sale of Whole Foods last August when it merged with Amazon?

I received no information from Cuna Brokerage before the Whole Foods stock I owned was sold and it was liquidated as cash into my

account. (August, 2017).

I am now paying a horrendous amount of money on the capital gains

that had accrued for many years of owning that stock.

I would think a Brokerage company like Cuna would contact me or

the financial advisor I have to warn me of the merger ahead of time

and offer some alternatives of what to do with the sale!

If I had known that the stocksI owned were going to be merged (which I did not know) I may have had an option to transfer them to Amazon?

I am paying an enormous amount to the IRS this year for this

transaction!

I have been trying to close out my account, almost done and was told they ‘forgot’ to send one of correct forms. Next they mail my money to an address I have never loved and not the one my statements are sent.

Now after that they say it’s in ‘review’ and I can’t be transferred to get phone for supervisor. My four sisters have canceled their accounts, with same problems.

NEVER give them your business! Anastasia Mahelona

TRAGICALLY INEPT & FINRA ILLEGAL

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

The broker, Todd Mckee uses hard sale tactics, lies and deceit to get your money. He put my stocks in his brokerage without my consent.

It took him 3 days. It has been almost a month, & I'm still trying to get my money back. Apparently the whole company functions as he does. I will be filing a formal complaint with FINRA, SEC and the BBB for misconduct.

Cuna contracts with banks and credit unions as financial advisors, even if you trust your credit union don't use this service. It has been a nightmare!

Tracking down money from CUNA

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

A representative of Cuna convinced my uncle to pull out $85,000 out of LA Teachers credit union in Torrance, California. This guy's name is Steve Vignale who is no longer with the company.

This happened in 1992 and it's been living *** trying to track down this money. We have receipts, withdrawal statements and the like and still nothing. Eventually I will get a private investigator and/or the News involved for help. It's unfortunate that we have hit so many dead ends.

I called the Torrance Chamber of commerce and no help.

I call the Better Business Bureau and no help. I am going to exhaust all means necessary.

CUNA Brokerage Ripped Me Off in Bond Trade Transaction

$250 is not a lot of money. If you lost it dealing with some unknown entity, on eBay, for instance, it might not raise an eyebrow. But what if you lost it in a transaction with your credit union? And what if your credit union would not even respond to your emails, phone calls, and letters?

It started 16 years ago, but let's cut to last month, when I walked through the doors of Coastal Federal Credit Union, as I have done since 1981. This time I would ask them to sell a treasury bond for me. They had me sign the bond and sent it to their "fixed asset desk" at CUNA Brokerage Services (part of CUNA Mutual Group). It was just deposited with the broker at this point, no sell order had been placed. I started watching the price of the bond, and it was about $90 (for 50 units that's about $4500). The spread was just a few cents, so about $20 or $30 for this bond. I was in no big hurry to sell, but a few weeks after I dropped off the bond, I called and asked them to sell it, but I insisted on knowing the price they would get for me. They said they'd get around $90. Knowing that the yield on short treasuries (my bond would mature in 3 years if I held it) was about 3.5%, the price made perfect sense. Guess what? They ended-up selling my bond for $85. That's something like two years worth of interest!

So now Coastal Credit Union is just ignoring me. A customer of 25 years. Do you trust your credit union? Don't answer too fast.

I invested with the advice of a "looser" advisor from CUNA and it was the worst investment I have ever made. He put me in a fund that was at a 52 week low and falling. I have tried to get out without a penalty of 1% but I have been unable.

So, I have to ride it out for one year and I can assure CUNA, I will never invest with them again.
