Crystal Clinic

On Wednesday, Oct.12 ,2022. I had a 3:30 PM appointment at Crystal Clinic Orthopedic Center in Hudson, Ohio.

I arrived promptly @ 3:20 PM to complete any necessary paperwork. I was finally called @ 4:PM and taken to a small closterphobic exam room where a female employee took basic vitals. She left the room and closed the door. I waited 1 hour in the exam room and not one single person checked-in on me the whole time I waited.

Finally @ 5: PM, I decided to leave. As I walked out of the exam room, the nurses station was completely vacant (gone home) The front desk was completely vacant (gone home) - NO ONE TO BE FOUND ANYWHERE. The only other person in the area was a young black female patient who had a 4:PM appointment and had not been seen yet (its now 5 PM) She was wandering the halls looking for anyone to help her. The Doctor fully responsible for this gross infraction was Nathan Monaco.

This Crystal Clinic in Hudson, Ohio is deplorable and so unprofessional and disorganized its beyond disgusting! It does not matter what time your appointment is, if you are so desperate to go there, be prepared to wait at least 30+ minutes in the waiting room alone, PLUS an incredible amount of additional time waiting in a tiny disgusting exam room. Clients beware! Crystal Clinic is a money greedy, money grabbing, money addicted facility.

They make you pay your co-pay the minute you arrive, before you are even seen by anyone, so you are held hostage by making a co-payment up front on a service you haven't even received. Crystal Clinic in Hudson is a disgrace and insult to the American Medical profession, and should be put out of business.

This was not the first time I have waited over an hour and a half beyond my appointment. NEVER - EVER go to this clinic, ask your primary physician to refer you to a reputable orthopedic facility, and if your PP refers you to Crystal Clinic tell them they have a lot of homework to do.

You are not a number youre a patient identifier youre so long they tell you to go to a place to pay your bill you go there then they lie to you and say thats not your identifier and thats not your birthday so they wont take care of you so you call a number they tell you to standby but if you push one will take your complaint faster. They sure do they hang up on you will never ever let you leave a voicemail.

So I tried to pay my bill six different times six numbers including their bill and I finally got to leave a voicemail and I told them they better call supervisor to my attention as this is just the most ridiculous stupidest unprofessional medical department Ive ever seen. The doctor is excellent. The surgery I cant get out to get to the mailbox to put my credit card and pay the bill so they even want two days to call you back theyre so unprofessional and when I also found out from a lot of the people that work there theyre making 11 $12 an hour you wait an hour to see your doctor to an hour and a half because they have way more patience than they do with their cheap help and they make them work like slaves and they dont appreciate them. They go through one to three people every two weeks every time I went there.

They care nothing about the patient except to get the money after the surgery is done . I dont think they care about the employee but when you dont care about the person who pays you the patient you guys are really nuts. I dont have to pay you I pay everything in cash I have money too it turned me in I dont need to get a good or bad credit review I moved from Southern California you know what my house was worth I sold it for 575,000 3 years ago1100 sq ft.

Oh I forgot to tell you I paid $87,000 and lived there for 37 years working a real job and paying off the house moved out here bought a mansion for $210,000.03 times larger half an acre above a country club and pay the house off in cash so Im not worried about a bill Im just worried about the service dont wanna talk to me you dont want to talk like a human being like her a patient to lie to me and tell me my number is not in there my patient identifier and birthdate . Supervisor call me I have proof of everything I said home I guess I cant pay you according to you people you dont have a patient identifier 129-**** and of course you dont know anything else about me because if you did you know I existed

I had my surgery. The day after release my leg became extremely swollen and red like a bad sunburn and extremely painful.

I called the clinic and was told this was norm and if pain persist to go to ER.

2 days later PT came to my home and was pissed at what she had seen. Taking photos of my leg and trying to get in touch with my Dr, a vicious circle. Leave a.message and we will get back to you within 24 HR. No return call.

That night I was in ER diagnosed with extreme cellulitis.

I explained I had been trying to get in touch with Dr and no response.

The Er doctor, then called Dr.and told him I have your patient in ER and has extreme swelling and redness with cellulitis.

I was given medication and told to return the next morning for a DVT ultrasound for possible blood clot. Test was negative thank.you Jesus.

3 days later still no call to even see if I was ok or to return previous calls I had made.

Situation gets worse, tried to have Dr. Call me back and nothing once again. Finally I decided to return calls and leave numerous voice messages requesting a call from my surgeon or to be able to speak to someone who can give me answers or insight as to what is going on with this horrible infection.

I did finally recieve a call back and after demanding, was able to speak to a nurse of my Dr's constituent.

Ten days in and still not one call or concern from my Dr!

What type of Dr. just does your surgery and then discards you like the bad knee he replaced?

I tried calling and replacing this Dr. as to my follow up care and was told that I can not because.of my insurance won't allow it.

Needless to.say I will be calling my insurance company and the medical board as to my future care.

Dr. Newman is NOT recommended by me!

I will NOT be returning to him for my follow up care, as it is quite clear he is incapable of giving any after care. I will be following up the care for this cellulitis infection with my family physician.

I will also seek my insurance company to find another orthopedic surgeon for any follow up.

I am also filing complaint with Crystal Clinic and the Medical Board.

I visited the Crystal Clinic (CC) in July, 2020. I paid a $35 co-pay, which is more than my co-pay, but was told that is their "standard co-pay" and they won't let you keep your appointment if you don't pay it.

Several weeks later I received a bill for $173. I checked with my insurance and found that first, CC submitted a bill of $150 - and they billed me $173?? Secondly, the entire bill was covered, AND I should not have paid any co-pay. I contacted CC and they said they would "look into it" and get back to me.

That was five months ago. I just contacted them and they said that I should not have been charged, and that I should be receiving my $35 refund in "three weeks". I asked why it has taken so long and why no one ever got back to me.

The woman on the phone said that my case must have been "overlooked". Wow.

BEWARE - and check your billing from Crystal Clinic closely!
