Attempted Scam, In and Out !

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I contacted this company to clean my hot air, furnace, ducts. Their ads and website depicted numerous photos of before and after duck work.

Also their verbiage explained how important it was to clean all the dust and debris out of duct work.

The only thing I can say good about the technician was that he was on time. He proceeded to vacuum the register boxes for the supply and return air ducts, and only pushed the vacuum hose in about 10”. Then he sprayed the duct with a “sanitizer “.

I said “that’s it”, aren’t you going to clean the rest of the pipe (which may be 10’ to 15’ long? He gave me some answer which made no sense at all to me.

While he continued on to the next duct, I immediately called the main office number and spoke to a manager/supervisor and asked him how ductwork was supposed to be cleaned.

He said a tool was supposed to be inserted the entire length of the duct work, the tool with then knock off or vibrate off the debris and it would be sucked out to their HEPA filter. I told the supervisor that his technician was here now and he’s only vacuuming the first 10 inches of each duct, spraying with the sanitizer, and calling it done. He placed me on hold, and then called the technician and told him to clean the entire ducks with a vibrating wand tool. He got back on the phone with me and said it would be done the proper way now.

So I ask you, how can a certified technician, think that only vacuuming the first 10 inches is the proper way to clean a duct. Was he trying to pull the wool over my eyes? As you can tell I was extremely annoyed at this company.

What if I didn’t catch him. How could they say my ducts were cleaned to the standard that they recommend?

Thank you for your truthful opinion! This company has 900+ five star reviews on Groupon.

The ratings sounded a little too good to be true. Maybe their reviews from family and friends?

I worked for them for a month and after making them thousands of dollars, then never even paid me 1 Cent ! The sanatizing spray is just soap & water.

190 Dollars, Scam. Blow Motor Cleaning, another Scam. 80 Dollars to pretend to wipe it with a rag ? Jeff Stein is a THIEF AND SHOULD GO TO JAIL.

Sitting 4 states away in PITTSBURGH robbing people. Anyone can stick a shop vac hose down vents on their own.

DONT USE THESE CROOKS !! Former Employee !

They’re snakes. That jew Stein is a conman, and after working for them two weeks, the day I was to be on my own they took my equipment because the machine they gave me was broken, and my needing a new one would’ve made me late for the first job.

They are a scam company and will be taking them to court if I do not get a refund for the guy that walked around my house and just blowing air in the cold ducts and then spraying water down the registers. also used a shop vac to clean the ducts and done in 5 minutes.

Questioned him and he said that the small amount in the canister was all there was in the ducts.

Today after running our furnace for 2 days there is tons of dirt coming out of the cold return. Taking pictures to document.

We've collected our car and in general was extremely clean, wen my wife noticed lots of black spots (kind of water marks) in all the handles. We informed the manager whisñch initial response was too defensive as well as agressive inficating that they've just used water.

I'M 100% SURE those matks were not there before and my wife continue the siscussion with the manager who tried to fixed it meanwhile he was the one complaining with an elevated tone of voice. I've told him to slow down when he was talking with my wife and he told me that she was full of chat (!!!). Which of course irritated me even more... He was trying to fix the issue bh using who know which product and as a rwsult of that, the original paint started to disapear showing up the aluminium...

(!!!).

At that point I've asked him to stop... Even my 6yo have realised the damage on my car...

Crystal clean duct cleaning what a joke

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Everything these people are saying abou this company is true. I had a bad experience with this company.

Yes they try and scam you by telling you need this and that it will cost 500.00. Just wanted my vents cleaned out. He was very late inexperienced put vents in upside down. Went to clean my dryer vent did a horrible job.

Got one of his rods stuck in my vent. Also broke a door and lied about it. He separated mt dryer vet from the ceiling where it is caulked, and now I have more problems.

Sent A guy to fix up my dryer vent, Saw the crack he made on the ceiling, and did nothing about it. Will be filing a claim with the BBB.

Crystal Clean is a sham

I just wanted to let you know that I will be filing a complaint (not against Groupon but one of your vendors, Crystal Clean.

They are an air duct cleaning company. I called them directly and they agreed to provide me service for $235 to clean all my air ducts. It was my understanding from a recorded phone call that they would remove all vents and clean them out.

When they came they then insistent they would not have to remove all vents and were not going to do so.

The price then increased to $289. Frustrated I called them after the work was done (I was working late at work and my wife played intermediary) and threaten to stop payment on the check because they did not do what they were supposed to do.

Someone called me up next morning, I hung up on them. They called back yelling and cursing at me telling me they were going to take me to collection. Which is absolutely fine they are free to take me to collection I simply have pictures of dirty vents and a phone recording of the actual service they promised they would provide that was not provided.

After this individual threaten me and cursed me over the phone (calling me twice) I quickly them placed a stop payment on the check.

I will be filing a report with the better business bureau.

Crystal clean

Called about their advertisement for 37.09 unlimited duct cleaning. Called to cancel the day before.

They came a anyway. When the rep came he counted the ducts and then tried to tell me the charge would be over 500. I quested the price and he started taking off services to lower the price. When I told him I would not use his service he called his office.

They tried to strong arm me into paying a 50.00 fee.

I refused they said they would send it to collections. When I tried to speak to the office would not allow me to speak and ultimately told me to go f myself...do not use these guys

My goodness, I wish I saw these reviews before I went for this offer. Pretty much the same story.

Got a Groupon deal for $39. Technician comes and tells me I must pay for extra return (1) and duct panel access. New cost: 399! I told him thats 10X the price that was quoted, and he just shrugged.

I called the company and they wanted me to by the unlimited service for $199, but they would not deduct the $39 I already paid! In the end I got the $199 package but they still got me.

I paid an extra $99 for disinfecting, but it turns out that was supposed to be included! Never again.

Same thing just happened to me today on a living social deal, Matt came and my deal went from 39.99 to $750. He tried saying read the fine print ***, there may be additional fees.

Ultimately very deceptive marketing and you end up *** people off instead of getting business. Hope you enjoy driving around for nothing... What businesses don't get that use coupon social media is.... ITS MARKETING!!!

Do the job, if you were good and we enjoyed your service and we'll use you again or recommend you to others. Don't try and up sale the customer or not give them the requested deal to make up for your low cost services that attracted us in the first place, because then it does the exact opposite. You'll have lost a potential customer and we'll definitely not recommend you to any one else. Point being this review...

DO NOT USE THEM UNTIL YOU START SEEING POSITIVE REVIEWS. CHECK THE WEB EVERYTHING POINTS TO THEM BEING A SCAM.

i purchased this Groupon from this company also. After the technician checked the entire house he then proceeded to tell me that instead of the $39 value I thought I had purchased, after everything was listed, the cost would be $1400!!

That's a big difference from the original price. I told the tech no thanks, then he called his office and they kept telling me that I could get it for a lower price . I kept telling them no. This is the classic bait and switch.

I am totally displeased with this. Can I contest the Groupon on my credit card??
