Cronan Custom Homes Lawsuit

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

This contractor made such a mess of our electrical wiring that it required multiple trips by two different other electrical contractors to re-wire the work and repair the damage that was done to our breaker box. Numerous appliances in our home were damaged as a result of the work done by Cronan Custom Homes.

Were forced to initiate a lawsuit to recover damages. This contractor is apparently still in business and still doing sub-standard, shoddy and incompetent work in our area. Recommend that you avoid this business!

There is no reason to even consider this incompetent, inept "team" if you need any electrical work done. Find someone else !

Storm Damage Repair Fiasco

Contractor entered agreement to repair hail damage. During the course of the process, contractor used subcontractors that were apparently incapable of performing repairs right the first time.

Numerous re-visits were required to make-right on improper repairs and workmanship. Health and safety concerns resulted from some of the improperly done work. Contractor did not complete the damage repair in accordance with the contract. Contractor invoiced customer for monies to which the company was not entitled under the terms and conditions of the contract.

Contractor placed a lien against our property for the amount of the improperly invoiced monies. This behavior resulted in my family taking legal action against this contractor. We filed a lawsuit that this contractor later preferred to settle out of court, rather than have the case be heard by a judge.

These action by the contractor also resulted in my family filing a complaint with the State licensing board in an effort to have the contractor stripped of his license. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT THIS CONTRACTOR NOT BE USED.

Contractor Finished Home Over One YEAR Late

Contractor was supposed to complete home build by Oct 2011. Contractor did not complete construction until December 2012.

Contractor was, in our opinion, unable to fulfill obligations throughout the project, and these failures led us to file a lawsuit and a complaint with the State Licensing Board to petition them to suspend this contractor's license. Vast amounts of evidence was acquired including two separate home inspector's reports regarding the construction and errors and omissions that occurred throughout the project. This was all communicated to the contractor's attorneys (including his brother-in-law, who was the first attorney he used in the dispute) throughout the lawsuit evidence discovery process. Contractor ultimately chose to settle the lawsuit out of court rather than have the case be heard by a judge.

Actions with state licensing board regarding suspension of this contractor's license are still in-progress as of the date of this posting. Highly recommend that you avoid using this contractor.
