AI Highlights
  • - The agent couldn't hear me and hung up.
  • - Opened Crisco Jan 2025; smelled tin and I can't risk using it for persimmon cookies.
I want a refund My 1/3 used Crisco can smells like tin

Guy answered, said he couldn't hear me well enough, and hung up at customer service. I only used 1/3 of a large can of Crisco that is stamped Jan 2025.

I needed it again today to make cookies from my persimmons. I opened the can, which smelled like tin, and I couldn't risk using it in my cookies, which are lightly baked. I want a refund.

The Crisco had been stored in my baking cupboard as always. I have never experienced such a thing.

Loss:

Pros:
  • Good vegetable oil for multiple uses
Cons:
  • What made this batch go bad and smell tin- like

Preferred solution: Full refund

User's recommendation: Don’t buy more than you need if at all Large can smelled like tin inside with a day of Jan 2025

Poor Quantity of Product

AI Highlights
  • - One-third of a Crisco chub was not enclosed.
  • - The center chub of a three-pack was affected.

I am an avid user of your product to make my heirloom sugar cakes. The last Crisco chubs I purchased were not the quality I have purchased in the past.

One-third of the chub was not enclosed. Amazing, because it was the center chub of a three-pack.

Please ensure your quality control is aware of this so it can be corrected. Thank you for your time.

Pros:
  • Love crisco products
Cons:
  • Better quality control

Preferred solution: Coupon

Sorry, I am not a pissed customer. Oops! Wrong department. I had an inquiry.

Do your natural ingredients in butter flavor have garlic in it? My granddaughter has a severe allergy to garlic.

I bought 2 cans of your Butter Crisco. Both cans don't expire til next year.

Both shortenings look like a greasy mess. This isn't the Crisco I'm used to at all. Looks and smells funny. Not usable.

Crisco is expensive, cost me over $10.00 a can now. I have 2 cans I cant use. What's up Crisco?

I have filled out with all the info and pictures on your Crisco site 4 times now and no reply from you!! I WANT REIMBURSEMENT FOR THOSE 2 CANS!!

Loss:

Pros:
  • Used to be really good

Dont hold your breath! I got regular Crisco sticks and ruined a few batches of icing and they sent me a 30.00 check that bounced today. I am beyond pissed and no one will answer my call or return my messages.

Crisco contamination

AI Highlights
  • - Coated hot dogs in Crisco oil.
  • - The second fell into the Crisco bottle and was retrieved.
  • - Worried juices would contaminate the oil, but OK to use.

I was going to grill some hot dogs. I wanted to coat them in oil before I put them on the BBQ grill.

I put the first one carefully in the Crisco bottle and got coated just right. The second one fell inside the Crisco bottle and I had to use a long BBQ fork to pull it out. The hot dog did not fall apart. Since I had to puncture it with the fork to get it out I was worried that the juices inside the hot dog would contaminate the oil.

I was told that the oil is O.K. to use

Preferred solution: Give feedback

User's recommendation: Do not put food directly in bottle

Something has changed with crisco and not for the better.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - I asked what changed with Crisco; my pie crust isn't great.
  • - There seems to be too much liquid in Crisco.
  • - I will switch to a different shortening.

I called and asked what had changed with crisco, my pie crust that I always got rave reviews on now is terrible,it is almost like there is too much liquid in the crisco,I chilled the crisco this morning and used ice water and it felt ok,but when I rolled it out it is as if its too dry. I will certainly be finding a different shortening. Good bye crisco!

User's recommendation: Do not buy crisco!
