Cretan St Bernards

We had purchased our 1st Saint from the Kleins recently. We fell in love with a sweet girl that was older and needed some TLC according to Rhonda. She emailed us photos of the dog and told us that she had to take her away from the previous breeder she sold her to as they were neglecting her and could not care for the dogs allergies. We were told that the dog had allergies but nothing severe. Long story short, we were finally told that the dog was going to be put down so we made the decision that we wanted a puppy.......

We find an adorable female pup that was "8 weeks" old. Rhonda said that we could forward her a deposit to hold the puppy so that she knew we were serious. The day came for us to contact Rhonda to make the final payment prior to her shipping us our puppy. We took care of everything and awaited for Rhonda to call and provide us with a time of arrival so that we could pick up our puppy. Once we were at the airport, we finally seen the kennel that our new member of the family was in....tiny, we hade to actually unscrew the kennel bolts to safely get her out!!! The worker that brought her out to us said he has never seen something this bad. She smelled of stale urine and had pooped dried onto her, its not like the flight was delayed or took hours! We got her home and really got to examining her, her fur was stained and her eyes had a small red ball bulging out of her eyelid which we discovered was a severe case of cherry eye! We bathed our new pup as she seemed down, which I would be too if I were in the condition she was in! about 2 hours later we had to rush her to our vet as she began to seizure and had blood coming out of her mouth and was bleeding when she pooped herself! We called Rhonda to let her know what was going on and if our vet could give her a call, she had her husband get onto the phone to "deal with me". He asked what we did to her, we did absolutely nothing wrong and were devastated that the "breeder" was not even compassionate about the conditions this poor baby was in!

The puppy passed away about an hour later. At this point we were distraught!, We hadn't even had her for 12 hours and she passes away! Our vet called Rhonda and she was incredibly rude claiming that he killed the puppy and hung up on him. We were unable to get back into contact with Rhonda.

We had the puppy sent off to have a full necropsy/autopsy. We had finally gotten the results which determined her stomach and intestines were infested with worms and ***, they believed the puppy had been eating her *** for quite some time as she had a severe bacterial infection as well as an unbelievable about of *** in her stomach. Our vet as well as the other professionals determined that the health certificate for the puppy was non legitimate and they had contacted her vet to find that no health certificate was issued.

We contacted Rhonda that evening of discovering the results. We were told that she sent all of the proper items and that we were nuts. Than accused us of the damages done to the puppy. We requested a refund and were literally cussed at and hung up on. We later got a phone call from her husband threatening us and screaming at us for hurting his wife and puppy. Our 3 children are beside themselves as getting this puppy meant a new chapter in our lives. We were thrilled to start such a wonderful adventure, now we get to comfort our grieving children as they know Sage(the puppy) wont be joining our family and that rainbow bridge gained a new baby! We are seeking legal action against the Kleins and will go to the end of the earth to prevent another innocent family from enduring this heart breaking situation!

These people are trash and for them to say they are breeders and responsible is absolutely disgusting!

I lent USD 1,500 to the Kleins, to be returned when they sold their next puppy. I have never got that money back, nor did they reply to my e-mails. Since they move a lot (because they don't pay their rent), I could not track them down.

I also had a puppy selected from a litter. They were supposed to give me that puppy in lieu of the USD 1500. Next time I went to visit the puppy, it had been sold.

Thier excuse is always that I lent the money to Richard, but the sold puppies were hers, so he couln't give me the money back.

These are only the most important issues I had with them.

I will make this as short and sweet as possible! Cretan St Bernards ( Rhonda ) should be ashamed of themselves for their terrible misrepresentation of their puppies.

We have had Every problem that Everyone who has posted a complaint has had. Waiting for paperwork, incorrect paperwork, scars on ear, cataract, etc... We love our saint and wouldn't trade him for the world. That said, BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!

It has become my personal mission to put them out of business. FYI- the posts on here from Charleston Illinois, defending Rhonda and Cretan St Bernard Puppy Mill, are from Rhonda and her Deadbeat husband. The judgements are not clerical, they are in fact for inhumane practices ranging from poor conditions to improper business transactions.

Shame on you Rhonda! Your day of reckoning is fast approaching....

Bought a saint from them came with worms eye problems and vacinations not up to date.

They would do nothing about it. All they cared about was getting there money. I will have to

pay out 1500.00 to corect all the problems.Check them out with the SBCA before you buy.

Any reputable saint breeder would not sell a saint with entropian without letting the buyer know.

And never say a saint with this problem is good for show or breeding. Ones that do just are there to

take your money and run. There just lucky I do not live in the same state as I would have taken

them to court.

Do not buy a Saint Bernard from Cretan Saints they are liars only in it for the mdimeoney don't let them fool you. They are more of a puppy mill solely in it for money.

CONTRACT. Another breeder before sending them a dime. They will play you for every last penny they can milk out of people. If you trust them you would be one of the few that have had a good experience with them.

If you are thinking about a show breeding prospect do NOT BUY FROM THEM.

YOU WILL REGRET IT. Please take this very seriously it will save you a lot of heart ache for a loved Saint Bernard that you payed for.
