Stupid run-aroung

Bought a Rav4. Driving home, after 8 miles, ran out of gas, luckily by a gas station. Put in $27 of gas. Called salesman next day. Come in and I will fill it. We live 56 miles, round-trip plus tolls, so this was absurd. Long story short, over a year and they did not pay. Customer service manager told me he would fill it next time we can for oil change. Never did. Salesman said he would search their records and show me that they had filled it. Never produced records. I lost all faith in their honestly. I said to mail me a check. They said they couldn't. All over $27 . It is not the money, it is the principle. Kicker is the Subaru we traded in was smoking oil, common to this vintage. 10 years old. Guy from Crestmont who looked at car to value the trade-in remarked that this was a common issue. The owner wants me to now pay for the head gasket job and then he will give me the gas!! They knew it needed head gasket when they checked it out. Besides, I would think a 10 year old car would be wholesaled out as it. He never fixed the head gasket. Dishonest people. Because of this, we bough a car for our son 3 weeks ago. NOT FROM CRESTMONT!! Lost a customer of $27

Service for Toyota Sienna Van

We bought the Van in Nov 2013 - the car has driven less than 55000 miles and its AC compressor & clutch are gone. Toyota refuses its liability to repair this. The car was serviced by crestmont toyota service center since it was bought. As long as you are ready to spend more than $1k everytime you get your car serviced they are ok. When the time comes to stand behind their car and its required repair they happily pushed us to the main Toyota center where no one knows who we are and the call center people have no regard for loyal customers.Even Crestmont Toyota's service people are surprised at this problem however they do not want to take any responsibility to get it fixed. Its very frustrating to see how little regard they have for their loyal customers.

Cons:
  • No interest in liability of their own vehicle
Reason of review:
refusal to repair the AC Compressor /clutch at their expense which was apparently a problem in their car

Preferred solution: Deliver product or service ordered

The worst Toyota Dealer and worst Toyota Service Center

Crestmont Toyota in Pompton Plains New Jersey is the worst dealer and the worst service center with rude and unprofessional staff. The staff is very unprofessional and rude, they lie thinking its written on your face that you are ***. Service Guy told my friend that People from California drives across the country and comes to his service center for servicing their cars lol. People drive thousands of miles and come to my service center. My friend left his car for servicing, and they stole his new battery and replaced with an old battery. When my friend complained, about this the service guy become rude, yelling and screaming at my friend. Toyota needs to shut down this poor service center. They charge way over any other service center in this area. NO ONE SHOULD GO TO THIS PLACE.

Toyota Crestmont ripped us off

We lost our Matrix in the wrath of huricanne Sandy. we had to replace our car fast. I trusted the wrong people in toyota and after signing everything i look at the documents and they leased us the car at $3000 over sticker price. when we confronted them they told us that they lost 4,000 cars and due to that and the gas shortage they had to make up their monies lost. So not only I incurred huge losses during Sandy as we live in little ferry and we got hit very hard and then I got screwed by toyota. People that take advantage of other people's pain and misery should be ashamed of themselves. I will never lease/buy toyota again. Never go to Crestmont Toyota.. And to add insult to injury my bluetooth is not functioning correctly and they could not fix it. Shame on you Crestmont Toyota and Andy the salesperson is just a wolf in sheeps clothing. Shame on them. In time of disaster people should come together and help each other not try to take advantage of the situation
