I purchased a 2011 Nissan Rogue from Crestmont Hyundai in Brunswick, Ohio, on 4/15/14. The loan closer refused to tell me what my interest rate would be until I agreed to the 'Platinum' warranty coverage. He continually pressured me into the 'Platinum' warranty and I repeatedly told him "no". He would not take no for an answer. He assured me that EVERYTHING on this vehicle was covered for the entire time I owned this vehicle - ANY repairs, oil changes, new tires, etc. When I finally agreed to this warranty, he told me what my rate was. He would not give me any information on this warranty plan other than a brochure without even a warranty company's phone number. I asked if there was any contract as evidence of the coverage, and he told me "No, the brochure is all you need". Several years later I found out that I would have actually had an option to cancel that 'Platinum' warranty, however, the scam artist loan closer did not give me that document. Throughout the years, I found that nothing was covered from this warranty. I later was told that I had an option to cancel the extended warranty, I notified Crestmont that I wanted to cancel it. I complained that nothing was ever covered, as the loan closer told me everything would be. I spoke to Sales Manager Kenneth Harris who admitted that the loan closer was "let go" for being deceptive to customers. I demanded my money back since I was LIED TO by that loan closer. Kenneth has not returned any of my calls.
Pros:
- Interest rate
Cons:
- Being lied to by the loan closer who was fired for lying

Crestmont Hyundai's supposed 100% Guaranteed Approval - or not
I went to Crestmont Hyundai in Brunswick and was treated very poorly and lied to prior to my arrival. I spoke to three very nice girls on the phone before I made an appointment to go and purchase a vehicle from them. Everytime I called, I got a different one, but they all said they could help me and seemed happy to. I started off with a basic 'phone application' then they called back with "You are qualified". They asked me more information about my employment and residence etc.. I was told to bring in a few things, paystub, utility bill, etc.. I was told 100%, no doubt in their mind approval, with $0 down no less. Well, I brought $1000 just in case, even though all three had told me I didn't need it, but was welcome to bring it to lower my payments. I asked again, Are you sure? I can't take the time off of work and pay for a ride down here (30miles) unless I am certain I'll be driving home. Again, the same response. When I got there, a bunch of rude, aggressive, seemingly mentally handicapped MEN were all in the office, eating doughnuts and drinking coffee and doing NOTHING. I only mention that because no one seemed to be working, or trying to help me or anyone else for that matter; not that there were any customers. By the way, in case you were wondering, I am also a man. So, the helpful ladies were no where to be found. It took 4 guys 45 minutes just to get a few more bits of information from me, maybe 10 questions. Then I was taken to the financial manager and explained why I was being denied. Trust me, I know my credit isn't perfect, that is why I went to such a place '100% approval with Zero down'. I have been making around $3000 a month for awhile now, and just got all of my bills caught up, thats why I was doing this. I now have plenty of money to spare for a car payment, even a slightly higher than normal one, but they decided not to give me a chance. I am not mad that I was denied, I am however HORRIFIED about how I was lied to again and again and again just to get me down there. I had to pay $50 just to get down there, $75 to get home and waste 6 hours of my day (basically the whole day). Lying is the worst thing in the world. It breaks down the fabric of society. It makes people stop believing in each other and eventually themselves and the whole world. Why would a company base there whole operation on a lie? You promise 100%, DELIVER 100%, or CLOSE.

They overcharged us for four new Goodyear tires. Alignment had to be redone by Automotive Excellence who said Crestmont had put the wrong valve caps on.
Crestmont bent the underside of our car and did not care. Three years later and three of four tires have weather cracking. Crestmont would not make this right telling us to go to a Goodyear dealer. Three of the tires look they've been switched out by Crestmont as I had marked all four with a silver pen.
The three do not have the marking. Crooks all the way!
This dealer is rated an "F" by the BBB. Do NOT go there.
I don't know how they stayed in business this long.
I will write every known state and federal agency to have their bad business practices known. :(
