Uncivil and Unprofessional attitude

AI Highlights
  • - Paid $580 for trifocals on Sept 24, 2024.
  • - I experienced blurred/double vision, eye strain, and headaches.
  • - Full refund demanded.

I attended the store in question and after examination, Dr. Adetola Opejin advised Trifocals glasses on September 24, 2024 which I paid

in advance in total of $580.00 the same day.

After few weeks later, I received the glasses.

Since I never had Trifocals and thought it would take time to adjust with my eyes. But I had lots of trouble especially when reading and beginning to have blurred and double vision, difficulty in focusing, eye strain and constant headache.

I went back to see Dr. Opejin and raised my concern, who changed my glasses from Trifocals to Bifocals and advised that to give it some time to get adjusted with my eyes.

I followed his advice and set up an appointment to see Dr. Opejin again and this time I took my old glasses with me to show him and mentioned that when I wear my old glasses then I don't feel trouble of having blurred and double vision, difficulty focusing, eye strain and headache.

He examined my old glasses and said my old glasses have 2.75 strength and he prescribed 2.00 strength , that is why I notice differently.

Dr.

Opejin got agitated and with stern tone said that he was not going to do any thing else for me, just keep wearing and with time I could get used to it. He terminated the meeting and let me go.

I believe that this was uncivil and unprofessional attitude on the part of responsible and customer service expectations requirement to accommodate a patient with offering satisfaction and selling good quality material used on lenses while the customer paid good price and expect some courtesy and care in return, which both were lacking and proven failure of the business and manners that have to be dealt properly.

Remedy: Since this case comes under professional misconduct and being uncivil and lack of caring, which is prerequisite and must be followed by any public business concern, but was not followed in this case.

So I demand full refund, as I have lost trust and integrity on the part of this business and the service provided as a whole.

Therefore, I am bringing this serious matter to general public and resolution.

Loss:
$580
Cons:
  • All

Preferred solution: Full refund

User's recommendation: I do not recommend future customers under such circumstances to attend this business.
