Will leave you hanging

Joe is good about providing you with a bid, and then accepting the work weeks out. Once you've accepted his proposal and time line, he never returns calls or texts, particularly if you do not meet his criteria. After waiting 5 weeks for his "timeline" criteria and putting everything else on hold, is when you will then discover he's a sham. I got the same excuses as one of the other reviewers too..."I have been out of town", or "this current job keeps adding things, so the date I initially gave will probably move further" etc. Words of advise, get contract rather than word of mouth, then you will have something to stand on if needed.

Creative Accents - Joe Schwaiger

Creative Accents was the construction company that converted my garage into an apartment for my father. The quality of work was very poor. There were scratches on a pocket door from a nail sticking out on the inside of the pocket. Instead of replacing they painted over the scratch very poorly. Second, they failed to insulate the ceiling until it was discovered and brought to their attention. I was told the construction was built to code but they did use the proper beam support in the ceiling. When this was brought to their attention they stated, we'll have to tear out the whole ceiling which they had no intention of doing but instead gave a 5 year warranty on the work. Next, was the installation of hardwood floors in the main house. My closet door was taken apart and incorrectly put back together which has now come completely apart and one door has completely come up and all the screws have fallen out. I had also arranged to trade almost a $1000 value in concert tickets for new tile in my upstairs bathroom and insulation in my upstairs attic. The concert tickets were used but the work was never done even after numerous attempt to reach him. My calls and my texts were not returned. When I finally called from him from a strange number he answered saying he had been out of town for the past week even though I had been trying to reach him for at least two month. He said he was purchasing materials and would call me back which, of course, he never did. This man is deceptive and the workmanship is shoddy. Be very very careful should you contract his services and make sure you get things in writing before services are rendered so you can have some recourse if he stiffs you like he did me.
