Should have listened to my gut and other reviews of this place. I needed new ceramic baffle boards for an older Hearthstone wood stove and wanted OEM parts.

I called them to make sure the parts I wanted were OEM and was ensured they were, so I spent over $130 more than it would have cost me for aftermarket parts from a reputable seller. The Parts I received were filthy and apparently used and repackaged aftermarket parts. They are smaller in dimensions and lighter than the OEM parts I needed. Due to time constraints I am stuck using them and it will cost too much to return with restocking fee, return shipping, and the $30+ shipping I paid to get the boards.

The boards I am replacing lasted decades, and I am probably going to be lucky if these last a year.

Praying the do not cause damage to the soapstones on the stove due to excessive heat from the size being too small. Avoid this company.

They have literally stolen 3,500$ in cash, at Christmas. Nice folks!

A genuine lack of candor and honesty. Dont give them money without receiving the product.

Good luck!

We were lured in being told they had our model on stock. When I arrived I was told it had to be ordered.

I was told that they offered a discount for cash... wish I had used a credit card instead. We ordered the stock, flagship model, on the first week of November and we’re told 2-3 weeks for delivery. At 3 weeks I called and was told the company was shut down for COVID and we would not get the stove till January or February.

We heat with wood, and no heat till February in the Adirondacks is not a viable option. We found a retailer in Hudson NY who had our stove in stock and drove down the next day to buy and install it. Cozy cabin refused to cancel the order, claiming it was a “special order”, no refund possible on a stove they said was not even in production yet. We contacted the manufacturer Heritage in VT...

they told us that they had not been shut down due to COVID and that they don’t do special orders and that they have not been more than 3 weeks out in production at all. Cozy cabin clearly lied about a number of things. My guess is that they needed my cash to pay a debt, and intentionally delayed my order for their own reasons.

When caught and confronted, they continued to obfuscate the facts and truth. Their entire position is based upon a situation their manufacturer has fully refuted.

Can you give a more detailed description of the problem so others can evaluate?

We had the same experience! Very displeased with this company.

They happily take your money and make promises, but then don’t deliver and refuse to give a refund. This business should not even be allowed to operate.

Same experience.

Dangerous stove

I used their recommended installer Rob Edmunds. He suggested the hearthstone gm40.

When I get to cozy cabin that is not in stock but the next size up will work and they have it in stock . Bait and switch.

Then they need full payment for all parts and they did not follow up with installer for the pipe needed so waited 2 weeks for that.

Rob edmunds installs the stove in 3 hours.

When we use the stove after the break in process it will over fire. Neither ROB or cozy cabin have done anything about this safety issue for over 2 weeks.

The fire place does not get advertised run time and infact Ed at cozy cabin, after I bought the stove that they don't and basically admitted to false advertising .

They do, and will if they are working properly.

Rob tells me, let it heat up until it is out of range in the catalysts temp which would void my warranty possibly

We also had an awful experience with Cozy Cabin, they do not stand by their word and have given us the silent treatment once they took our money.

Parts poorly described on line, Not good return policy

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I ordered stove parts from these guys.

Firstly they sent me the wrong part, which we chose to cut and modify so it would fit. Their doors are not ready to install and have to be drilled, which is not easy for cast iron parts. They crack. The description gave me no clue I'd actually have to drill out the hinges.

During a renovation, timelines constantly change. They have a 30 day return policy. I didn't use 2 parts, but they refused to take them back.

I'm not happy with Cozy Cabin and would never buy from them again.

Cozy Cabin Stove and Fireplace - Dutchwest Nc Gasket Kit Review from Holt, Michigan

I ordered a refractory side door part and insulation for it, also ordered the gaskit fire ropes kit. Spent over $300 dollars.

They sent me the worng parts. Not only the wrong parts, but duplicates of the wrong parts (see pic of one priced $117 the other same part $51) with different part numbers, names, and prices! Called and ordered the right part and they still charged me shipping even though it was their mistake. Have not gotten my refund yet for parts sent back.

They are nice on the phone but have no clue what they are doing.

Cozy Cabin Stove And Fireplace Stove Installation Review from New York, New York

Cozy cabin is totally anti-consumer. I bought a 7,500.00 stove and pipes from them. Their installer came out to do the estimate. Next time he showed up to actually install the stove. He asked for $500 cash but refused to give me a receipt which I declined to do. I offered him a check which cost me $100 more. but the worst was that he didnt finish the pipe - the chimney lower section was not done.

he promised to come back and finish for extra $350 ($50 for the pipe and $250 for the labor). he LIED. He never showed up nor he ever called. I called the store owner and got a rude runaround. Ed, the owner said that if I kept HARASSING him he would not sell me the pipe I need or sell it twice as much as he originally intended. He also said that he spoke to Rob, the installer, and Rob agreed to come for extra $500. I said go to ***. These peope are dirty greedy bastards. Once they got your money they dont

care. I wonder how they stay in business with this attitude. The worst decision I have ever made was to give them my $7500 hard earned money. these bastards deserve to be kicked out of business forever. by the way I bought that pipe from lowes. deserve to be kicked out of

again, nor he called

Don't get scammed by these people they incompetent at best...

Ed

The owner is a complete liar he just told me the warehouse was closed and locked and he couldn't go into it to check, but wait he is the owner of course he could - but his service sucks. He was more than happy to charge us $84 for a $2 part and then try to explain that that was the entire kit, it quite clearly was not.

He was very happy to take our money but in no way would stand behind his company. The nerve of him to lie and tell me it was Hearstone's fault.

This guy will try to rip you off every chance he gets. Cozycabin is the epitome of incompetence.

They dont care about their customers

I ordered a part for my fireplace and paid extra for them to ship in a week. I waited three weeks before attempting to get a status on my item.

It took me three phone calls to get any information because they kept telling me they would call back and they never did. I finally got them to look me up and the part I ordered was on back order and my shipping was switched back to standard ground which would take another 14-31 days to receive. They never sent me any emails or try to contact me about my part and the delay and I was so upset that I cancelled the order and decided to go through some one else.

They didn't even apologize!

No Service/Rip off/Scam

First off they are the classic place you must avoid.

We bought a $3000 Hearthstone stove from them

Guess what? "We don't service". " Not our problem "

We needed a new side door within a year. " Sorry ".

Hearthstone sent it , but Cozy Cabin was going to charge us, when Hearthstone sent it for free. Next the front door cast iron latch broke because of a poor design. Again Hearthstone sent a new frame free when CC wanted to charge. Since there was no one else to call for Hearthstone service ( can you believe this? ) Cozy cabin sent a guy who only came with a small screw driver ! $150 service charge and the door still won't close ! When I called Cozy Cabin understandably pissed off, Ed the owner said " Hey !

you are ruffling my feathers " Like all this is my fault.

Any way a long story that I'll end by saying that I went on the Better Business Bureau's site and guess what? Cozy Cabin is rated an F ! Gee what a surprise ! No business skills and they Do Not give a *** about the customer once you are out the door.

The have NO service department. Biggest mistake I made was buying from them and buying a Hearthstone.

So... Buyer beware. Do the research before spending your hard earned money .

This place is scamming me out of a warranty

I would like to report a crooked business run here in Warrensburg NY here in the Lake George region! Please avoid buying anything from the Cozy Cabin Stove and Fireplace Shop as they are a bunch of scam artists.

A few years ago I bought a Vermont Casting Wood Stove from this place. Recently a piece went cuput on it and need a new one. After doing research it was brought to my attention that the piece I need is under a lifetime warranty. So the other week my dad called this shop up which is in Warrensburg NY and told them we need a new piece and such and such.

So the guy started giving the run around that the piece is not under warranty. After supposedly checking it out LOL, the guy gets back to us saying it is under warranty and I'll order it up for you. So then yesterday rolls around my paps calls up the shop checking to see when the part will be there so it can be picked up? So they say well were not sure if the piece will be in this weeks delivery, it may or may not.

A couple hours later the store calls back and says the company/the maker of the stove says they are gonna need between 5 business days to 2 months to decide if it qualifies for the warranty. *** We called up the actual company Vermont Castings which is now located in Kentucky and they said we qualify for the warranty. The guy, his wife, and there workers are a bunch of *** artists. They also are money gougers!

Cozy Cabin Stove and Fireplace shop are selling the piece I need for $425+ tax. I found a place online that sells the same piece included shipping for $334! If these people are not running a *** scam, then I dont know what one is! It's absolutely enraging!

These scam artists probably are gonna end up costing me about $400 at least because I'll have to buy the part. If you don't buy it from the shop you originally bought the wood stove from the part is not under warranty. I'll also say this, Vermont Casting wood stoves are something you should also stay away from! Anyways if anybody is looking to do business with the Cozy Cabin Stove and Fireplace Shop here in Warrensburg I would seriously advise against it.

For those who have already, mark my words, they will eventually scam you some way to if they haven't already.

These people need to be eliminated, put out of business so they cant do this to anyone else. Have a nice day.

I had the same experience. If you return $1500 in pipe and if you need $300 in pipe, the owner changes pricing so you will end up oweing money!

Track everything if you shop here!! I will never buy a stove here again, this place is fraud.
