Complaint about York restaurant.
Hello
We called there today looking to have a late lunch. The restaurant was half empty.
A surly staffmember blocked us from entering and said if we wanted to eat then to come back at 5. I asked if they were fully booked and he said "No, but 3 staff are having a break as we have been rushed off our feet" No apologies or anything. We went and found a more accomodating local French restaurant.
I think this is a bad way to run a business. Probably put us off going again, and we live in York and have eaten there twice before.

Resolved: Overcharging
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. Two emails
I took the receipt showing the overcharge back to the restaurant ( meant travelling 5 miles & car parking) was given a so called refund of £13 15. All good, until I checked my credit card today, to discover the Cotes manager had taken £13.15 from my card.
Now I am owed £26.30.
This is not the first time this has happened at Cotes, West Bridgford Nottingham, last time it took several contacts with the restaurant & only got resolved when Head office was involved
Either the staff are not being trained properly or it is deliberate. Unfortunately, Cotes will no longer be on our eating out list, although the food is good it is not worth the hassle of checking & double checking our bill
