AI Highlights
  • - Six weeks with no contact after gastroenterology referral.
  • - Shortness of breath; PCP told me to wait, ED advised seeing a cardiologist.

I called my PCP's office for a referral to a gastroenterologist whom I had seen before, and they transferred me to someone who 'handles' referrals. That was six weeks ago! I have not heard from anyone and I am experiencing symptoms.

I called my PCP's office a second time as I experienced shortness of breath on exertion. This was two weeks ago! They told me the same thing: 'You just have to wait for someone to contact you.' Meanwhile, my shortness of breath continues and they seem to be ignoring this fact. I spoke with two office managers who did nothing but tell me to wait, as the office personnel did. I am a cardiac nurse and this is blatant neglect and unethical! I am at a loss about what to do next. I have been to the emergency department and they advised me to see a cardiologist, but Core Physicians is preventing me from doing so, thus jeopardizing my life and health.

Exeter Hospital was fantastic to me but they couldn't assist me in this regard.
