BEWARE Extended Warranty and SERVICE Contract SCAM
When I purchased a 2018 (1) owner car Maxima. was told it was a 1 owner and had a front air bag deploy..... No biggee right?
Got home with it and ran a CARFAX and found out it was a RENTAL CARand the WHOLE front end was wrecked both fenders, hood and so on.
I returned the car and purchased a Brand New Nissan Maxima 2018 was told needed and additional $2,000.00 cash down bringing total cash down no trade to $7,000.00
After I give them that the finance manager tells me they won't finance it unless it has the EXTENDED WARRANTY AND SERVICE CONTRACT included and ADDITIONAL $1,500.00 - $2,000.00 on top of the price of the car and minus my VPP discount I was NEVER given.
I called the Lender and was told Differently.
She stated ALL Cookeville Nissan OR ANY DEALERSHIP does is submits a number and We the Lender approve or deny the loan period. They lied to you and you need to confront them.
I did and they refunded ALL my Monies for the B.S. ADD on's they tried to make monies above and beyond on.......
Through NOTHING BUT LIES AND DECEPTION.
THEN THE OWNER OR MANAGER TELLS ME I AM TAKING FREE MONEY OUT OF THEIR POCKET????
WHAT THE *** IT WAS MY $7,000.00 CASH I PUT DOWN AND TELLS ME TO NEVER COME BACK.
I TOLD HIM HE WOULD NEVER HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THAT EVER!
Preferred solution: TO LET THE PUBLIC KNOW WHAT KIND OF SCAM THIS DEALERSHIP IS TRYING TO RUN ON CONSUMERS!

2013 rouge transmission
On 8-24-13 I took my 2013 rouge with 2775 miles to the service center in cookeville tn
The issue I have is a vibration in the transmission @ 1200-**** rpm
After the service I was told that the vibration was in the converter lock up
And ther was nothing they could do, I asked why? The service manager said that
That's the way they were. ????? The service manager
Just walked away, real service. My car is not right there is a problem and they just blew me off.
I highly would advise to stay away from this place. For me this is my first Nissan and will be the last, I can be treated better elsewhere. It's a shame to spend your hard earned money at a place like this to be told sorry your problem not ours.
Used car problems from Cookeville Nissan
I bought a used car at a fair "dealership" price (as researched on the internet). I was OK with paying a higher cost from a dealer because of the up front work that is supposedly the reason for paying more.
Unfortunately, I didn't know that it only had one security key and remote until after I had signed the papers. I was refused another set by the owner/manager's son. I wrote a letter stating my disappointment and intent to issue bad reviews via the internet and local chamber of commerce. The owner actually gave me a call. I got the feeling from talking to him that I was being harsh, and he was the victim. However, I did get another key and remote, but I believe that he made the salesman pay for it.
About a month later, I found that the car needed new brakes. There was also no evidence that the normal 100k mile service interval had been performed. This added another $1200 to my cost.
I probably should have had the vehicle checked out by a 3rd party, but I have been dealing with Cookeville Nissan for about 14 years. This includes the purchase of a new truck and many services and tune ups.
Needless to say, I will not be giving this dealership any more money.
Cookeville Nissan- "Bait & Switch"
After researching the cookevillenissan.com website, my husband and I found a Nissan Quest quoted for $17,995. I also found this same vehicle and price on another website.
Going to the dealership and "negotiating" with the "manager" he quoted the vehicle to be $21,995. My husband corrected him and he treated us as if we were wrong and trying to rip him off. He asked if my husband brought a gun because we were trying to rob him.
What a fool! We tried to negotiate, but obviously he has never had training in that department. After speaking with him for 2 minutes he advised us to go to a different dealership. Wow! Way to go!
After discussing this matter with a few friends, they advised us that this sounds to them a s a "bait and switch" and we should alert the authorities.
We've decided just to never do business with them until they get a new manager.

I'm glad Read these comments, Because I was going to purchase a new truck from them. I think I'll buy my new truck somewhere around Nashville.
Gene, I just happen across this post. Nissan of Cookeville has been under new mgt since 2012.
They are now one of top rated dealerships in your area as they just received multiple awards including the dealerrater award of excellence in customer service. I’m proud to say I work there since 2013, as a top selling salesperson and also a verified 5 star certified dealerrater member. I understand this post is a few years old, but thought it deserved some clarification.
Thank you for being a Nissan owner and if you ever feel the need to check us out, please see me. Scott Davenport
