Verified Reviewer |Excessive baggage delay due to poor Contour ramp processes
- Contour baggage sat on PHX ramp 70 minutes, causing a missed Southwest flight and $280.
- Bags can't reach the carousel until Contour approves, 60 min.
I flew Contour from Show Low, AZ to Phoenix and they kept my luggage on the PHX ramp for 70 minutes. This caused me to miss my Southwest flight to Salt Lake and I had to spend $280.00 to purchase another ticket.
I learned from an American Airlines ramp agent (AA handles Contour's baggage at PHX) that the agents can't take the baggage from the ramp to the baggage carousel until a manager from Contour "okays" the bags and this usually takes 60 to 90 minutes.
In the meantime, me and three other passengers missed their outbound flights. Contour doesn't care, they don't have to, they're the only airline flying out of Show Low, Arizona!
- Quick flights
- Poor customer service from phones to ceo matt chaifetz
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Put Contour in the "Do Not Fly" zone
