I spent over 4000 euros in this store over a period of time and this was the thanks I received at the end. familiarity can sometimes breathe contempt and the next thing 'humans' want to murder you for zero reason other than the unquenchable basic evil within their innate souls. Quality self preservation of mental and physical health and wellbeing owes no one an explanation and if you need to give one then you are in the wrong company", "Don't do your shopping online with them. Especially before Christmas.".

Defective equipment
I operate a small bed and breakfast in Povoa de Lanhoso and anm a frequent customer at the local Continente Boa Dia. On 26.5.2025 I purchased 3 of the new Contiinente Grazie Capsule machines, one for each of the three rooms we offer.
In two of the rooms, our guests had no trouble using the device. Our third room was rented for the first time in several months and our guest complained that the machine would not turn on. It was completely dead. I returned the machine to Continente the next day and was informed that I could not exchange it but would have to send it out to repairs, and that there was a 15 day maximum to return an item according to Portuguese law.
As an expat I found this difficult to believe, and so I asked 10 of my Portuguese friends and neighbors and no one even knew of this limitation. There was also no indication, no positing, no note on the receipt, nothing to indicate it. I was told that it wasn't necessary because
"Everyone knew it!." I ended up purchasing a new machine which I fully intend to return to Continente within the 15 days "Law"and purchase a new one until my repaired unit is returned to me. As a primary supplier to goods we use in our facility, and the fact that Continente is close to our BnB, we spend a considerable amount of money each month there,.
That will change! for the 25 euros machine they have lost a good and faithful customer, and hopefully they will understand that many of us, and many Portuguese as well, are not familiar with many of the laws that pertain to such matters.

All I would like to know is does Continente sell beach towels.And of course I will still do all my shopping whenever I come to Praia D'ell Rey.I will be arriving on the 2nd of June and staying for 3 weeks,when I come in I would like to meet the Manager just to say hello.Kind regards Garry.

My body was touched and I was threatened numerous consequences take me to their office to touch me up lock me up call the police. I had not stolen anything.
they turn around and wont let me speak to the manager of the store they act like its a language issues but it is not. and they conspire against me telling the mall security and warten security to be part of the tag team
Then they act now like im not portugues so they do not care. I want to speak to the manager.
They have lied and told me the managers name is jago malta but its not . then they said its a woman named verta then no its not its a man named gonsalo and around and around we go and oh they cant speak to me over the phone I must go to the store for them to speak to me

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. It was not the Continente fault.
Fiz uma ordem para varios productos a semana passada 12.12.2023. Recebi notificacao que seria entregue sexta feira passada, 15.12.2023, que nao foi.
Depois fui notificado que seria entregue ontem que tambem nao foi. Contactei a divisao para esclarecer a entrega e nao recebo qualquer informacao.
Esta encomenda sao productos de natal e foram encomendados a tempo.
Dever o pior servico em Portugal.
About my deduct balance from my card
I have booked 4 ticket on 8 November for football game of portugal vs iceland that time I have paid the charge of 44 euros of the ticket today when I checked my balance again its deduct my balance of 42 euros from my card may I know wat the reason to cut the Balance again plx reply me my mail as soon as possible thank you

My order did not arrive yesterday, as they could not find the address - even tho they delivered to my address 5 times before! I was provided a phone number but it's an automated recording which is in Portuguese, which i don't understand.
I sent them 3 emails yesterday but no replay so far and in their original email it stated that I have 24hrs to contact them to correct the address and schedule a new deliver otherwise the delivery will be cancelled. How can I contact them???
I sent emails to 2 different email address. Called that number 10 times trying to press a different button each time - hoping I will get to speak to someone.
Preferred solution: Deliver product or service ordered

We are just a few days away from Christmas and still no delivery. So now I have the money taken from my account for the shopping but no delivery.
I can't get in touch with them, no one replies. What a joke.
When you call the number on the website it's all in Portuguese so no ways of speaking with anyone.
Stay away! Don't order

But Its still not delivered yet.

I will start by saying I’m in the U.S. and know nothing of EU or any other country’s policies.
It sounds like two things are going on. Stores have return policies for usually 14 to 30 days, any reason. Size, not working, don’t like or don’t want. Certain products (hopefully yours) come with manufacturer’s warranties that are valid for usually 90 days up to a year.
I think that is the category you fit into. It would be cost prohibitive for a store not to have a return time limit in place.
