Waste of time and money
Waited over 2 months for a decision. They wanted documents after documents.
I have good credit and have never been late on a mortgage payment and still got denied. Dont believe the hype , go somewhere else.

What a nightmare!
I went with Consumer Direct Mortgage due to a no closing cost refi which did in fact turn out to have closing costs.
I started working with Callie Smith who was supposed to collect my information for the underwriters. To say that she was clueless would be giving her too much credit.
I finally got her supervisor John Capone who said he would get it straightened out. He took over but could not manage the process either.
I made several calls to Jay Davies my contact person and he stopped responding to me.
Bottom line, a bunch of incompetent poorly trained employees. I would give them zero stars if possible.
Amazing
I inquired about a refinance with cash out on December 7th. Almost immediately I was contacted by Todd Grunwald.
He was assigned as our senior mortgage broker. He was so helpful and positive from the very start. I have some anxiety related to buying/refinancing properties, but Todd was amazing. He was super responsive and even had me call him one evening to clarify what was going on.
I was super impressed. We also worked with Nate Piccone - senior loan processor. He was on top of things from the start. He didn't ask for a lot of unnecessary documentation and was able to move things very quickly.
Our last stop was working with Carol Addy. She helped us move the loan through closing and get us an appointment with a notary. She was super helpful and professional. The whole process was incredibly easy and FAST.
We closed on 1/4 and received our money today. From the beginning of the process to cash in hand was 32 days.
I wanted to say thanks to the three of you for making the process go by so smoothly. I will refer my friends and family to Consumer Direct Mortgage.
Beware
Consumer direct guaranteed a rate of 3.25%. on a jumbo loan.
After sending in 2 years of tax returns, investment accounts, bank accounts, and in addition to hundreds of other documents. After getting preliminary approved for the loan. Of course there was a "snag" just prior to close. They stated the could not do a loan for 3.25%.
Consumer direct offered a loan with a rate of above 4%. I had been preapproved for the 3.25%. I ended up paying cash for the home. I my opinion this is a classical bait and switch at the last minute.
I would not use this company again. I do not believe this company has the buyers interest at heart.
They only have their interests in mind. Buyer beware.
Stay away ..
We had submitted a request on a refinancing website. One senior Mortgage banker from Consumer Direct Mortgage, Mr.
Alton Johnson sent an email on feb 14th after collecting our preliminary data that his quote is 2.75% for 15 years Fixed interest rate. After , collecting all confidential information and running credit check, this broker says it was typo and he meant 3.25%. When will the businesses learn to stand behind their quotes and written promises from there SENIOR Brokers who callously take the consumers. Will this Mr.
John Alton and Consumer Direct Mortgae just getaway and dupe other consumers , non stop???? This experience is making me wary of internet based companies, although that seems to be the way, businesses are done now.

Consumerdirect Mortgage Customer Care Review
My experience was very bad, they had my home assessment in theirs email for 2 weeks and they did not relase information to me until it was to late. The Jery reply was that he was moving and did not check his email one week. Because of their mistakes my home buying is in question and the money I have invested is great chances of losing , but they do not care !!!
Stay away at ALL cost!
After the loan officer got me into the door, he vanished and it is extremely difficult to get hold of anybody. As a first time home buyer, I have a lot of questions and would like my lender to be responsive and let me know what the next steps of the process are.
When dealing with them, I was surprised how little they know about the process and how it works - they are supposed to be experts! They got my application mixed with somebody else's and refused to fix it. They answer phone calls and emails only after I called them 10 times. Two weeks before closing, they requested me to go "fix all the items that need repairs stated on home inspection report" in order to issue the loan!
The house was not under my name yet! Am I supposed to break into a house I don't own yet and have myself arrested?? The loan officer then blame me for sending in the home inspection report : I did exactly what THEY asked me to do - send the home inspection report! We almost lost our dream home because of their incompetence and unprofessionalism.
We finally dumped them and went with another lender - it worked like a breeze and they were able to close for us within three weeks. It has been a nightmare dealing with Consumer Direct; I know they are a little cheaper, however, buying a home is one of he most important decision in your life, you want to find a lender that is responsive and knowledgeable: shop around and don't be fooled! This company should not even be in business, in my opinion.
PS: I found them on bankrate.com and chose them based on all the positive reviews there. Then after the unpleasant experience with them, I tried to post negative review on the same site and have been rejected three times!
I am convinced they are one of the sponsors of bankrate.com and that's how they get all the positive reviews. Unfortunately, the consumers are the ones that have to suffer the painful experience dealing with them.

Typical Bait and Switch Shop
My experience with this lender was terrible. After getting a quote and good faith estimate I proceeded to move through the loan process.
The loan officer would not return phone calls or emails for days when I inquired to check on the status of the loan. And then two weeks after I started the process and had locked my loan rate, the loan officer called to tell me the rate had changed and gone up .375% from the original quote.
Be very careful if you use this company. Make sure you get a lock agreement before proceeding to ensure that they cannot change the rate on you.

I too have been working with Nate Piccone. Unfortunately my experience hasn't been a pleasant one.
Its been 3 months now and every time I send in docs requested, its not good enough. They give me another list to send in.
