Resolved: Activate SIM card

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. My eSims card was not updated, that’s why I couldn’t send or receive calls. Just wish I had known to use 2 phone lines to complete my update.

Entered into service agreement under AARP Plan of 2 lines for $55.00. Added a third line to be used as a home phone and was informed that customer would no longer be qualified for AARP "2 lines for $55.00" and that the monthly charge for the 2 phone service would now go from $55.00 to $65.00 plus charges for the third line and applicable taxes and fees.

Via subsequent lengthy telephone conversations with customer service, was advised that in order to re-qualify for the AARP Plan at $55.00/month, would need to create a separate account for the third home phone line. The separate account and billing was agreed to.

Billing and charges to credit card account erroneously continued at the $65.00/month rate plus the full charge for the third line home phone account although assured billing would be corrected and credited. Consumer Cellular billing correction and credit never occurred through following billing period. Accordingly, cancelled the entire service on 10/09/2023 primarily due to aforementioned conflicted billing practices and poor customer service.

Now current final billing (10/16/2023) indicates the continued $10.00/month over billing (Non AARP standard $65.00/mo vs $55.00/mo AARP plan).

Account has been customer closed due dissatisfaction with the poor customer service and rude customer service representative support. Further actions not required.

Bought new iPhone 15 with "e-sim" instead of physical sim card. Apple store told me to talk to Consumer Cellular (CC) because they were unable to install an electronic sim for my cell service. Previously, my iPhone 8 had worked for 7 years with CC's physical sim card. I called CC customer service; she looked up my phone number and told me that only my wife's name was on the account with both our phone numbers. She would not talk to me, only my wife. She then hung up on me.

Customer service representative Lee was very rude and Lee is not customer friendly as well as. I will not recommend by elderly parents to consumer cellular would not ever want to speak with Lee.

Poor customer service from Lee. Lee is not customer friendly. Lee lack the skills that consumer cellular advertisement is based on. The CEO need to do the under cover boss with customer service representative

I called to get phone unlocked to go with another provider. They said it would take 15 days to do that. I would have to go 15 days without a phone. Unacceptable! Beware

I am mostly in Wi-Fi every day and consumer cellular is charging me for data I am using on my WiFi and charging me $5 for not being on auto pay which is illegal every thing about their practices is illegal and harassment lately I have been a customer since 2021 and I have paid my bill faithfully every month and now they are targeting me for more money and I am on a fixed income.

Billing

Had a little problem trying to explain I wanted to pay my bill via EFT because my credit card was cancelled due to a fraud event and I did not have the new number yet. He finally got the picture. Because my card was cancelled due to fraud the autopay failed. So. I needed to pay using my checking account. He kept going back to the credit card. finally he got the correct understanding about what I wanted to do.
