Site violates privacy

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

This site displays people info for all to see. Their privacy and Terms have no email or contact information to remove our information.

From the contact form on the website no one responds. Have sent multiple requests to remove my information. The site owners need to be sued in court. Also file a complaint with the website register.

This is not acceptable to have our name, address and phone in public.

Everyone should file a complain then only these people will change their business practice of violating the privacy of others. Even when we click to remove our information the numbers show up the enxt day.

Confidentialphonelookup.com ignores all info removal requests

I found my personal info on Confidentialphonelookup.com and did NOT agree for it to be made available online so that anyone with an Internet connection could access it. The site has a so-called privacy policy but no where on the site does it say that personal info can be removed.

THIS IS SO WRONG! I have a right to my privacy! Many other sites that list someone's personal info allow people to remove their info. Why can't this be done here?

I have repeatedly used the contact form on the site to send countless messages asking that my info be removed. I have never received a reply.

All I can say is that this is an unprofessional, unethical site run by someone who doesn't care about nor respect the privacy of millions of innocent people who have no way to remove their personal info. Bad, bad, bad karma.

I'm an attorney and currently working with a state investigator in tracking down the owner of that site.We are closing in on him.

I've received several requests from frightened clients who have pleaded with the site to remove their information, all met stone wall. One of my client is a victim of attempted murder; putting her information out there could get her killed. She is terrified and doesn't know what recourse to take, before she finally approached me.

As I write now a case has been filed with the state and sooner than later the guy behind that site will be tracked down and locked up for good.

I want to make sure he gets nothing less than 30 yrs in prison.

By law, all sites are mandated to remove your information on request.

What's the latest on this? You should also go after Tom Alciere of sortedbyname.com He responds to all removal requests with threats to never remove the info and to post even more in the future.

Confidentialphonelookup DOES NOT respect your privacy!

This website posts someone's name, address, and phone number. There is no privacy policy saying that personally identifiable information can be removed.

If you use the contact form on the website, absolutely nothing happens. They never respond. This tells me that they don't respect nor care about the privacy of the millions of people whose information has been posted. This is not right. This is not ethical.

If the owner of this website thinks it's all right to post the information of others, why doesn't he post his own information so that anyone can contact him? Someone like this cares about his own privacy, but guess what? He certainly DOES NOT care about the privacy of anyone else!

I think I know how you can remove your info. If you move your mouse over your info, a very faint "Do not display" on the right side will appear.

If you click on the link, your info should then disappear.

This worked for me; I hope it works for you also.

I do not know if the link was always there--maybe it was too light I never saw it earlier. Or maybe it was only included recently.

Good luck.

I think this is just a temporary solution. If you close your browser and later go back to the site, your info still appears.

Does Confidentialphonelookup let you remove personal info?

I found my name, home address, and home phone number on Confidentialphonelookup.com. Since I'm very concerned about my privacy, I wanted to have my personal information removed.

I used the contact form on the site to send a message, but haven't had a reply.

I didn't find any other contact info on the site, but by doing a Whois search, I was able to send emails to confidentialphonelookup.com@***.com. Again, I haven't had a reply yet.

If the owner of this site were an ethical person, he wouldn't use a proxy service and would post his own name, home address, and home phone number so anyone could contact him--just like what he is doing to millions of other people.

I'm always very frustrated with these kinds of sites. They always claim that they're legal. So what if they're legal? Don't they care about the privacy of millions of people? Sites like this one are subjecting innocent people to dangers such as identity theft, stalking, scams, etc.

Anything further on this? I’m also an attorney and do NOT approve of my info being out in the public domain for all to see.

Requests for removal have gone unanswered. This is a public safety threat.

Have you had any luck getting your information removed? I also found all of my personal information on this site. It is very alarming!
