I had an a/c unit pulled from my home to be repaired. They told us 7-10 days, 2 weeks later I called and they said the part was on backorder (they knew that 2 weeks ago, but didn't call) they refused to find out the ETA on the part, stating that they don't have time for that.
Another week goes by and I call to find our that the a/c is done and will be delivered the next day. I verified with 2 people that the a/c needed 2 men to bring back and they assured me that it was no problem for the next day. Later that day I get the call to give me the time window and I ask again "do you have 2 men for the job" after being on hold I am told "NO" - they mase (another) mistake. We are told that we will have to wait until monday or have someone help the guy the next day. We give in and help the guy.
The a/c comes and 1 hour later we have to ask them to come back and get it because it's blowing hot. They come back later and get it. I am assured to get a phone call tomorrow. The next day I call them and they tell me that the a/c needed to be soldered again and that it was blowing cold for the last 3hrs. "we will call you tomorrow to get you in for Sat" The next day we get a message from a completely different company telling us that Freidrich is replacing the unit.
When I get to the bottom of this I find out that had the problem been explained to Freidrich, they would have authorized a replacement from the beginning - the problem is a known one and cannot and should not be repaired.......I won't get my new a/c until weds, and then it will be 4 weeks and 2 days in the dead of summer when I could have had it replaced in a matter of days from the beginning.
Go with another company that truly has experience and good customer service - this is not one of them.
