...Whatever the reason, the CUSTOMER SERVICE for both -- Subaru Finance and Subaru Motors -- is non existent. I love my car, but when my husband gets a new car this year I can guarantee you that it won't be a Subaru -- nothing is worth this lack of support from a dealership or a car company..

How would you compare Toyota vs Subaru Of America?
?
Product or Service Quality
My Outback computer system constantly malfunctions. So any car that works would be better than my 2019 Outback.
I have something else to compare
My friend bought a Honda. If I knew that Subaru has problems with its audio, radio, system, I also would have bought a Honda or Toyota.

Toyota owns 22 percent of Subaru. They wanted access to the Subaru CVT transmission
My comments here does not matter to a company like Subaru or Toyota. Toyota is 16% shareholder of Subaru , so it’s somewhat same thing.
Both has pissed off customer for warranty repairs ( at least me ), One you own , forget about a repair of you are not paying for that, you won’t get that fixed in several months , with Toyota I went up to consumer court to get that money back , and with Subaru now fighting for 3 months to get repaired the dead radio device. Product wise Subaru is cheaper than Toyota if you compare by features and specifications. Quality wise Toyota has better quality interior and metal body with higher price than Subaru. Subaru can’t produce spare parts for all repair so depend on local market , Toyota has large consumer base so your local markets always has spare parts available near by stores.
Comparing both , choose Subaru if you want cheap quality -“all feature” car , choose Toyota better quality with higher price. for example : if you have need to drive on snow most of the months of a year , you need AWD , get Subaru . You are on Southern States , FWD is okay for you, go for Toyota , that will be better price than Subaru. As AWD of Toyota ( 5K -7K extra ) much costlier than Subaru.
At last both will give you Same pain if you come across warranty issue Or major repair. If budget permits choose other brands.
