How would you compare Vizio vs Samsung Electronics?
Both Vizio and Samsung fail in similar ways. With Samsung it was a faulty power supply with the TV I had several years ago.
Bad capacitors. With Vizio, it may be the same but it was undetermined. I can only confirm that the panel itself still had an image and the LEDs worked.
It just wouldn't power up the backlight when plugged in and power cycled, so it was useless.
Product or Service Quality
Neither company stands behind their product for very long. 1 year is considered standard with today's throwaway mentality and the cheap prices which make repair unjustifiable.
I would never purchase another Vizio product. I have had them in the passed & always had issues with them.
Their customer service was never able to fix the issues.
I love my Samsung products. I would rate Samsung much higher than Vizio.
The picture quality of both Vizio and Samsung are the same....excellent. However the Samsung has a much better remote giving access to all the features of the TV.
However Vizio relies on an app on your smartphone plus internet service to access their features. Not too smart. If they do not change this, they will surely lose many potential customers.
Who wants to be dependent on the internet and your smart phone to control your tv. What's next, an app to run your dishwasher....give me a break.
