I don't believe GM is near the quality of a Ford Product. I've had a lot of cars and trucks from both companies.
I have owned them both, (Ford and Chevrolet) and honestly, I've had the least trouble with Chevrolet. I have had a terrible experience with Ford and I'm done with them forever.
I drove Chevrolet for 15 years and only one trip to dealership for repairs and I buy a new Ford and I couldn't stay out of the dealership. Worst purchase I have ever made. Do yourself a favor and stay away from Ford.
Buy anything else. Poor quality.
I have owned a Chevrolet Tahoe and a Lincoln Navigator. Both were good vehicles.
However, the extended warranty I bought from Ford for my Lincoln was proven in court to be a fraudulent document.
The court agreed that the Extended Service Plan document allows Ford to disregard the written terms of the agreement and deny claims for parts explicitly covered. The Extended Service plan now claims that more than 1000 parts are covered, but Ford actually only covers fewer than 300.
How would you compare General Motors vs Ford?
GM customer service is horrible. The company has fallen to be the last place I would shop for a new car.
They have lost me and my family and any friend I know as a customer.
I had a 1986, bronco 2, a long time ago and a bird a quart oil every 800 miles, I took it to the dealership in Clint Township Michigan. They fixed it a couple times they charge me enormous fee, then the service rep show me a letter from Bill Ford at the time saying that was normal for a Ford product to a quart of oil every 800 miles, that was last time I bought a Ford product there was over 20 years ago

At least Ford serviced my high mileage car, GM sells a product, and if you put too many miles on it, they will not service it, and make excuses why they wouldn’t,

Yes my car that I should be signed that's been in the shop non-stop for the cooling system in general motors. Doesn't care to open a recall or fix it
