In the Cleveland Clinic's comparison with their competitor, University Hospital (re: complaints and customer service), they have had almost 10 times more claims against them. Part of that could be just because they are larger, I don't know?
But the fact of a 1.8 customer service score (on a scale where 1 being the worst and 5, the best, doesn't line up with 'World Class' status claims.
The management of an organization's impression is different than the real truth. When you have a lot of money to invest in PR, you can manage your impression but the bottom line is really the truth.
How would you compare Cleveland Clinic vs University Hospital?
Customer Service at The Cleveland Clinic at least in Functional Medicine is superb. Customer service at UH, they treat you like you don’t know things.
Product or Service Quality
Quality of service at the CC is superb since Functional Medicine does get to root cause of chronic disease.
A doctor who did show me the way out actually left UH. The quality service at UH, they are afraid of stepping outside the zone to try God’s given treatment of healthy foods as the medicine and of course quality supplements and minerals included. Cc helped me to reverse Type 2 diabetes and even though the FDA would be upset, it is true that it can be and many other chronic conditions, not just managed like UH does to repeat business to line their pockets with money. Oh and UH tends to jack up the prices on lab tests which should only cost around $100 and in some as low as $80.
I have something else to compare
Oh definitely.
The entire Functional Medicine Team never judge their patients and they understand that some can actually have auto immune responses to foods that UH actually promote such as grains that contain gluten in them. The hospitals that UH did acquire over the recent years need a lot of work in improvement all the way down to billing. Message to them is stop lining your pockets and start providing quality care without keeping many people sick. They should look up to the Functional Medicine Clinic at the Cleveland Clinic even if it means they need retrained.
Oh and stop putting student interns in the ER who lack experience. Better to start them in non emergency situations to prevent harm to patients.
I had a dear friend die at 44 years of age from a botched procedure at University Hospital and her Mom ended up suing the hospital. From my recent experience with The Cleveland Clinic one is no better then the other and any hospital you go to there're all the same. Cleveland Clinic is getting too big for it's own good and University is the same and no better.
Cleveland clinic is NOT "Patients First." They do not care about people at all. Nothing but problems with them. Would not recommend.
